Day 1 – Yom Ri-shon

Yom Ri-shon, Shevat 24, 6002 – February 11, 2018

Healing Power

When we think of healing power, it is easy to think about curing cancer, our sicknesses, etc. However, I have seen even deeper, stronger wounds that cut to the spirit of a person. These wounds often happen when we are children. They are challenging for us to deal with as adults because we have torn at the scabs for many years, and built up the scar tissues. But these, too, can be healed. Sometimes it happens in a moment. Sometimes through much prayer. Here is a link to a podcast that details some of what I am talking about. Click Here.

Matthew 19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Sometimes, we just have to let the little kid in us come out.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here. Let Your will be done here, as it is in heaven. Send us Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

New Snow Experience

Looking out into the forest this morning I am seeing the land and trees covered with new snow. Sitting inside where it is warm, I feel a sense of comfort from the fluffy white powder that covers everything. Later when I have to get our in it I may not like it as much, but for now, it is nice. There is something about the fresh new snow and the surreal oneness it creates. I was thinking how we can have a similar experience with our Father. Every morning and throughout the day we can experience anew the freshness of the experience of knowing that everything is taken care of for us.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

David knew that if he called upon YAH, He would hear him and deliver him. Always. And our Messiah even went so far as to help us to know not to pray like those that repeat the same prayers over and over many times, because God knows what we need.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

With that comfort in mind, we can daily take on the challenges of making life better by taking on the willingness to make our requests know to our Father.

And all that from a new snow!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH. Let Your kingdom come here. Let Your will be done here, as it is in heaven – it just is. Send us now the finances and material goods to make it through our lives. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Wipe away all thoughts or memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts or memories of You and Your love toward us. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote Your kingdom now. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We assk all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Shevat 10, 6002 – January 28, 2018

Fully Preached

Paul was a great apostle in his day. It is comforting to think about how he went around preaching the scriptures to those that would believe. He knew that the Gentiles were to be a part of our Father’s kingdom, and He was quick to point out that scriptures were very clear on that point.

Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Paul is plain here that our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) was sent first to the Jews, but then also to the Gentiles. Our Father is out to redeem the whole earth. Paul’s approach here shows that he saw the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the Gentiles as a testimony to the redeeming power of the blood of the Messiah. He goes on to speak about this further.

Romans 15:15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Paul talks here about the importance of the signs and wonders he did in the power of the Spirit of God. He spoke about things he actually said and did in the lives of unbelievers which resulted in them being believers. This is the “fully Preached” he mentioned, which in the Greek is the word pleroo. It also means to fill in the gap, as in this case, when the kingdom of God was fully preached the blessings appeared as signs and wonders. It should also be noted that all he had to use as text would have been the scrolls we now call the Old Testament. And yet, he was able to reveal the grace and mercy of God always contained there in. Our Father has never changed. He was the same in the days of the Old Testament (i.e., the Torah or the Law) as He was in the days of Paul, and I suggest He is the same today. He will by signs and wonders confirm through the power of the Holy Spirit the gospel of God. The good news of God is that He has ALWAYS been on our side. Miracles and signs and wonders begin in Genesis 1. We can take comfort in this idea that Paul would not speak of those things that he himself had not done and experienced. The comfort comes in knowing that these scrolls of the Torah and the Prophets and the Psalms contained a message that pointed to eternal life in the Messiah, and a full life here.

Our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) was also one that did signs and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Clearly our Messiah carried the same message, the gospel of the kingdom of God.

Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Clearly, Yeshuah (Jesus) saw the Kingdom of God as good news (gospel). And He performed signs and wonders as a part of His message.

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

The power of the good news of God was spoken of by Moses in Deuteronomy 28 and 30. Being baptised by the Holy Spirit, Yeshuah (Jesus) brought this good news to pass, just as Paul did. We see that Paul did the works of the kingdom, and then spoke about those works as his efforts to fully preach. A good question to ask, which should bring comfort to us as children of God, is this – did our Messiah ever say that He fully preached? The answer is yes, He did. I will copy that scripture here, replacing the Greek pleroo with “fully preached” and I think it will be interesting.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to FULLY PREACH it.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

We see here that after the Messiah had gone about teaching and preaching the good news of the kingdom of God with signs and miracles following, He referred to it as fully preaching the Law. While this may seem to speak against what we have been taught in the past, perhaps the most comforting solution would be to embrace the scriptures instead of what men say about them. Perhaps then we will see the doing good and healing all that are oppressed of the devil spoken of in scripture.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here, and let Your kingdom come here, as it is in heaven. Send us today Your overwhelming provision that we might extend it to others. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts or memories of evil done to us or by us. Deliver us from the evil here. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote Your kingdom in mankind. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things in Your name, Father, the name of YAH. We aks all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Shevat 3, 6002 – January 21, 2018

Willing To Receive

This morning as I was considering our Father’s love, I thought of how challenging it can be for a child of God to actually receive that love. It can be that we do not understand this love because we have not received this love. We all are looking for the love and admiration of someone else, maybe several someone else’s. But the message of the scriptures is a bit different from what we naturally feel.

Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

We first must be totally given to our Father. Once we are, we can then also learn to forgive, trust, and love ourselves. From that base, we can forgive, trust, and love others. It is somewhat natural for a human to see their own shortcomings and feel less than sufficient. However, that is where understanding our Father becomes so important. It is not about us, but about Him. He sees us through the blood of the sacrifice of the Messiah. With that assistance, we can make a difference for ourselves, and then for others.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come within us, and let Your will be done here as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Wash away all thoughts or memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts or memories of You. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom. Help us to care for the widows and orphans. Let there be love in our hearts and minds toward the brethren. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yehsuah. We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name of YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 26, 6002 – January 14, 2018

Finding Peace

We often pray for our Father to be with us and to comfort us. We may be troubled in our hearts or minds from various things that have come our way. I know for me I have found myself at times wondering if I should pray for a specific thing. This morning I was reminded of a scripture that answers these questions and thoughts in a very positive way.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We know that the people of God are set apart by Him. We also know that we are those people, and we are human. We need to commune with Him daily, and make certain that we have let Him know that we are thankful and that we are calling out to Him. If we will do these things, we have a chance to make it. We need to make clear to ourselves that He is our King, with thanksgiving, and He will reign for us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, just as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision that never lacks in any way. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. We need Your light in our hearts and minds. We need Your peace that our hearts and minds might be kept. We thank you for sending in the $424,523,962.53 to advance Your kingdom. Let it begin today. Deliver us from the evil men, and those that have strayed. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Remember us, Father, for we are weak and powerless without You. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 19, 6002 – January 7, 2018

The Preset

There is a certain belief that our Father set up the entire set of actions that are to take place in creation. There are arguments bot for and against. Even those against, however, usually say He knew what would happen and the choices that would be made before they are made.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Paul seemed to agree with this.

Ephesians 14 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

If we can get away from our own thinking, and understand that there is something bigger that we belong to and are a part of, we will come to find our fit. Our Father is so merciful that he always reaches back out when we reach out to Him. It is so comforting to know that He is watching over us at all times.

Psalms 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Praise YAH!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, Father. Let Your will be done here just like it is in the heavens. WE need Your mercy today. Send us now Your overwhelming provision that it might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Clean up our hearts and minds, Father, that we might serve You. Deliver us from the evil here. I call to the four winds, Father, in the name YAH, that they begin to blow in a mighty way, and that they blow into the kingdom of YAH great, great resources upon resources, that we might feed, clothe, house, and empower people to be in Your image, Father. Reveal Your will and Your Law, the lamp to our feet. Help us return to the garden. We need Your mercy and truth. Deliver us i pay from the evil here. You alone are King! Reign now, Father, in our hearts, minds, lands, relationships, and prosperity. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 and much more that Your kingdom would be promoted. We love You, Father, but we cannot make it on our own. Restore now To Your people all that has been taken or held back that was good, multiplies thousands upon thousands upon thousands, until we take back the earth. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. WE assk all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah! Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 12, 6002 – December 31, 2017

We Need YAH

As we get to this day we can tend to believe that another year is ending and we are starting down a new road. There would be those that would argue that it depends on what calendar you are following. Though I tend to agree with this latter point, it does not negate the fact that we all need to turn from evil to good in our lives whenever we find it. All are human. All need the Messiah. And the good news to this kingdom news is that, we all have access to the Messiah.

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Today, let’s all turn to the King and ask our Messiah, Yeshuah (Jesus), to forgive our trespasses and transgressions.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here. Let Your kingdom come. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us Father. Help us. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold, and thousands of thousands, of all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Send in the $424,523,962.53 quickly that we might advance Your kingdom. Help us Father. We need You. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 5, 6002 – December 24, 2017

Calling Out

There are many scriptures that refer to calling out to our Father. It is something that we humans have done since the beginning.

Psalms 18
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,
1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

This is just one example. There are many. We can take comfort in the fact that our Father always responds when we turn to Him.

Psalms 18:46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

Today, lets be comforted, and call out to our Father.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here. Send us now while it is called today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. We need Your touch that we might have clean hearts and minds, with only thoughts and memories of You. Heal us, our hearts, minds, and bodies. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold, and thousands of thousands, of all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Deliver us from the evil here. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that Your kingdom might go forward. Rise up, O King, and shew Yourself strong on our behalf. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Kislev 28, 6002 – December 17, 2017

Changing The World

Headed down the road of life we find many reasons to be both elated and at times, dissatisfied. If we will take the time to consider our situation in light of our reference to our Father, things take on a somewhat different appearance. By that I mean, instead of existing as absolutes to which our response is automatically how we must adjust ourselves and our lives, we stop to consider our response. If we accept what we see and hear, our response is in one direction. If we decide that what we see and hear does not match the words our Father has spoken to us and others, then we would respond another way. His words always come to pass.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

When we are willing to hear our Father, we find that He wants to help us. We can ask for wisdom in each situation and He will provide it.

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

It is a bit odd these days. More often than not when a situation presents itself, I find myself considering how what I am facing fits in with my Father’s plans. While that sounds good, for me it is a challenge. At times, my flesh seems to want to go down a negative road. It’s almost as if that reaction is built in. However, not only is it really a choice, lately I am seeing that it is a choice. It’s like focusing on the things of our Father has put in this place where I can stop and think about being either negative or positive as a conscious choice, and not some conditioned response that has no connection with reality. Moses, Paul, Yeshuah (Jesus) – they all said the same thing. Choose life, be like Yahuah (Lord) and forgive, believe what you say out of your mouth, and say what aligns with what God has said.

Deuteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

It’s about choosing to change the world rightly.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here. Let Your will be done here. Send us now while it is called today Your overwhelming provision that it might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of evil done to us or by us. Apply Your healing oil to our hearts and minds. Heal up our physical bodies. Deliver us from evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and more besides. Let Your blessings that You have spoken through Your prophets and others now appear in our lives, for Your words do not go void. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that Your kingdom would go forth. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH! We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah! Amen.

Comfort And Comforting

Most humans want to find some level of comfort from something. As believers we long for the comforting of our Father. It seems obvious that this must be something that is built within us by Him. Can we be what we need to be in Him by being a tool of that comfort? This is an important point to be made here. There is some type of interconnectedness between these things. Receiving and giving are connected to each other. Standing back from this idea, it only makes sense that for there to be receiving there must be giving and vice versa. And all of it is tied to the comforting of the Comforter. Our Messisah Yeshuah (Jesus Christ) said that He would send the Comforter.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The world does not see or know the Spirit of truth. There seems to be several connections here. One is to the asking for something to be done, loving Yeshuah (Jesus), and the Comforter. He tells us more about who the Comforter is.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

There is also this multiplicity of interconnectedness, more than a duplicity it is a multiplicity. We see it earlier in Jesus (Yeshuah’s) description of He and the Father sort of as One.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

There is this indwelling experience back and forth. Jesus (Yeshuah) was both present here and in the Father, and yet going to the Father. It was the Father dwelling in Him that did the works. He was going to the Father that the Spirit of truth, the Holy Ghost, might come to us. But it would appear that when the Comforter comes, Jesus (Yeshuah) comes with Him.

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

And why do we need this comfort from a Comforter? Scriptures reveal this.

Ecclesiastes 4:1 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

It would appear that a comforter has power, the power to overcome oppressors. The scriptures tell us who oppresses us, and why we might need this Comforter to come.

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

To wrap this up, it would appear that we have a role in the comfort that is obtained by people – us – in this earth. We are to comfort others. If everyone comforts everyone else through the ministry of the Comfrter, then the oppressor will be repelled. As Peter says, Yeshuah (Jesus) had the Holy Ghost, and we should too.
