Knowing And Faith

Today as I was praying I asked the Father about how to achieve results in prayer. It was more personal than that just sounded. More like, how should I pray? There have been times recently where I just knew that something was to come to pass, or I was able to experience the reality in my mind of something that had not yet happened. It was then that I felt that Yahuah (Lord) was showing me something in particular. If I want a certain event to occur, and I have experienced that in the past, I can remember how it felt when it happened before. Then with that “feeling” of it becoming a reality in the past, I try to have that same feeling when I pray for it now. There seems to be some kind of substance to it when I pray like that. I believe it is faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We have to have that substance of faith to trust in our Father. He will teach us if we ask.

I am trying this out now. And I am so thankful that God does not reject us when we try to work these things out. What a great Father!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us Father, for we are weak. Deliver us from those that are stealing from us what You have given. Deliver us with a strong hand. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Taking The Blows

Fighting is not a glamorous undertaking. It is frequently painful in some way. In spiritual warfare there will be times when we take the blows of the enemy. It is not whether or not we get hit that is important. It is how we respond that matters. What we do know is we are the victors in the end. We know this because we are on the side of the Living God, Yahuah (Lord), and He has never lost yet. We will have times when we get hit, but we can keep going if we remember that we battle with our Messiah.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

So if we are in the position of taking the blows today, rejoice! One day we will be glorified together with our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus).

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We love You and long for Your kingdom. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Heal up our hearts from things past. Deliver us from temptations to walk away from You. Deliver us from evil that would steal from us what You alone have provided. Come with a strong hand to set Your people free. In Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Keep Moving Forward

All of us can likely think of moments when we had particularly good days serving our Father. We remember those with a smile. We also can likely remember times when we went the wrong way and God lovingly brought us back on track. This too is very good. But for many of us, most days are just, well, days like any other. Most days are filled with routines of work, preparing food and shelter, and some rest. These can be challenging days if we feel that we are not really getting anything accomplished. I guess my point here is the word “feel” that I used.

It is good for us to control our thoughts, or program our brains if you will, to focus on what is good. Paul gave this very message to the Philippians.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

If we take control of our thoughts, we control much of what we experience. This is because much of our experience is based on our interpretation of what is going on around us, not the facts themselves. We tend to apply meaning to various events, whether they be the words and actions of others, or just events that happen. But again, that is in our minds and we can control that reaction and thought process.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

If we will take time to think on Yahuah (Lord) and talk with Him and praise Him, we can change the lens we look at life through to one that makes life look better. We can see that every day, even if it is like the day before, we will see spending time with Yahuah (Lord) actually advances us and His kingdom. With this perspective we know we are not standing still.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. It is Your kingdom that we long to see. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision such that it overflows to those around us. We need You and your forgiveness for our sins. So many of us wonder at how long we must wait for Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) return. Please heal our hearts and minds. Rise up and deliver Your people with a strong hand and outstretched arm from those that would steal from your people what You have provided. How long will You let them plunder the goods of Your people Father? You say that You store up the world’s wealth for Your people Father. Please release it to Your people today Father. We ask all these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

We Must Persevere

When I was thinking of this title today I must admit it made me smile a bit. It sounded like such a, well, sort of sophisticated title. Lately when I consider our great and marvelous Father, Creator of the universe, I feel a sense of emotion. That is a good thing for us, I believe, because we are created to be compassionate just like our Father.

Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

This is one of the examples when Yeshuah (Jesus) multiplied the food. In another place when He had compassion He healed the eyes of two blind men, at their request, after they refused to stop crying out to Him as told to do by the leaders. Our God always wants to meet our needs. He cares for us because He is a Father.

Today, as You ponder the life we have and consider our Father, perhaps you will find encouragement in knowing that He is a compassionate, wonderful Father that cares for us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King, and You have a kingdom where we want to dwell at all times. We praise and bless the name Yahuah (Lord)! Send us today Your overwhelming blessing that even those standing near us are also blessed. Forgive us our sins. Heal up these hearts of ours, and soften them with the oil of Your Spirit. Deliver us from those that would steal from us what You alone have provided. Deliver us with a very strong hand. We ask all these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Always In The Arms Of God

Yesterday I spoke with one of the leaders of our fellowship about how we as believers can lose track of the reality of our God. The business of life can overwhelm us and take away our attention. But that only happens when we let it happen. And, we can also fight within ourselves to get back to that place where we pay attention to what is important – serving the living God. As I write this I think of some of the many challenges before us as a family. And then I think of Yahuah (Lord) and the prayer time I had with Him this morning. He was there in a very real way as I prayed for transformation to be more of the man He wants me to be. I read a scripture this morning that fits with this whole approach to Yahuah (Lord) as our Father and our living King.

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

We need to cry out to God in the morning, noon, and evening. We need to be always calling to Him.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Paul said it even more intensely, that we should pray without stopping.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

As I am writing this I am seeing an even greater need to be in communication with our Father. In the day to day, moment to moment battles of life, It can be a challenge to so do. For me, it is easy to get caught into the “reality” around me at the moment. But there seems to be a clear picture from scripture that our Father will respond every time we call. We need to be always communicating, praising, praying, and seeking His face.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We need You and Your kingdom in our lives at all times. We need to know that You are hearing us. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your abundant provision that overwhelms our store houses, overflowing to those around us. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and our minds that have been damaged over time. Deliver us with an outstretched arm and a strong hand from those that would steal from us what You have provided. Only You can do these things Father. We need You in our lives. We need Your help. We need to know that You will always be with us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Waiting For The Soon Return

On this Sabbath I pondered the rest that Yahuah (Lord) has bestowed upon us. We are given opportunity to learn at the feet and at the side of the Master, our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). When we attempt to serve Him with our whole heart, we may find that portions of our heart still need a cleaning. If we are faithful to cry out to Yahuah (Lord), He will help us get a renewed heart.

Psalms 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

David knew that even when He had committed a grievous sin, Yahuah would be merciful because that is who Yahuah is. As we wait upon Yahuah (Lord) for His kingdom to be restored upon this earth, we can know that He will help us to change. He will be the one that leads us to His change, if we will surrender like David did. Today on this Sabbath, let us remember to call upon His name for understanding. Let us find a greater reality in Him than in the world we see around us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King and we desire none other. We need Your kingdom here now, Father. We bless the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. We ask that You forgive our sins. Heal up our hearts. Deliver us from the evil that would steal what You alone have provided. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Needing The Truth

As believers we base our lives from what we see in scripture, or at least we attempt to so do. We can go through life without taking note closely at what our Father is trying to communicate. But if we can be still and listen, He will reveal to us what He is trying to communicate. He never fails to do that with us. And He brings to pass what He speaks to us.

Psalms 29:1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

This stopping to listen helps us to remain humble and on His path. We need Him and His majesty. We need Him to help us not go astray from His ways. We need His guidance. It is He alone that sustains us.

Psalms 4:3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

This morning I had another confirmation of this in the form of a miraculous healing. Previously I wrote about the leg cramps I woke up with two days in a row. This morning I woke up with one of those cramps in my leg. This time I did not rub it. This time I spoke to it and touched it saying, “Shalom to this leg in the name of Yeshuah. Praise Yahuah.” I knew that Yahuah would make my leg whole, healing me. In a few minutes, the cramp completely disappeared. It was a miracle.

Yahuah is trying to speak to us these days in these times. There is much noise in the air, and much noise to distract us if we let it. We must remain vigilant to hear our Father when He speaks to us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. It is good to have You as our King. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision, such that we can bless others. Forgive us our sins. Help us to remain on Your path. Heal our hearts and minds from so many past hurts. Deliver us from the evil that is all around us, and help us to be whole again, or maybe for the first time. We want to learn to dwell with You. We love You. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Not In Charge

This morning amidst so many things going on I was asking our Father about our frailty as humans. As I thought about my own situation and prayed for forgiveness. I wondered why we seem to repeat doing our own thing so often and having to go Him for forgiveness everyday. Then I realized that maybe that is the point. We are to be constantly looking at our walk with the intent to be more like the Father. When we fail we need to be quick to turn to Him for forgiveness. Our Messiah died for all our sins, and wants us to talk to Him everyday. He died that we might have life.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I am just so thankful that our Father, Yahuah (Lord), is not like me. He is perfect, even about forgiveness.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We bless the name Yahuah! Send us Your overwhelming blessing today, so much that it may overflow to others. Forgive us out sins. Please help us to strengthen our wills to not repeat our mistakes. We need Your mercy and love. Heal up Your people today. Feed Your people today. Deliver Your people from those that would steal from them and grind their works to powder. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Amen.

Struggles To Write

Today is interesting. I have restarted this about five times now. There is somehow a negative stress to this attempt to put something down that Yahuah has revealed to me. I feel that today, for me, is one of those days when what I express seems too negative.

I was going to leave a scripture only. After taking some time to rest and to pray, I realize the issue is me. When I get negative, it is me getting negative. In this case I was looking at what I wanted. I was looking at what I expected others to do for me. This is not right. We are to look to see what our Father is doing, and do that here. He is a loving God. Yahuah (Lord) does not hold grudges against us. I think in this case he was letting me see me on my own.

We as humans need the love and grace and mercy of our heavenly Father Yahuah every day!

Psalms 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Today is starting out tough. Send us Your abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal and deliver us. In Yeshuah’s name. Amen.

Rise Up!

In me today there is a growing, I don’t know, demand for action, a sense of a need for change, a crying out to the Father, “Help us!” I am troubled when I see so many walking through this “reality” almost in a daze. Words dripping from lips that suggest an alliance with the great Yahuah (Lord), while calmly going into the submission chambers to the evil overlord in the respective regions of the earth. Calmly being slain is not the answer. Speaking the truth in resistance to evil, that is the call.

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul addressed the importance for us to speak up inside the fellowship. We must also resist evil everywhere to overcome.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Rise up. O people of God! Cry out to our God! Seek deliverance for our planet.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King, and we want to live in Your kingdom. Let the name of Yahuah (Lord) be praised. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Heal us. Deliver us. We need You. In Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
