Stonewall!

In the movie, Facing the Giants, The coach asks the team to build a stone wall. He was referencing a time in the bible when the biblical charaters built a stone wall to defend the city.

Nehimiah 4:17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

So we see that while we work on preparations for a master defense, we stand at the ready to fight off specific local attacks. In this way we are both builders of our faith and spiritual warriors for the faith.

Let us build a stone wall around our heart, minds, homes, and families, always ready to fight of any individual attack.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be the Your light in this world. Send us now Your overwhelming provision such that there is no thing for the kingdom we cannot afford to pursue, as well as our own needs. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the one that kills, steals, and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds of hundreds that which has been taken, held back, or in any way not delivered to Your people. Make this outpouring greater than ever, both in revival and in physical goods. Rise up, my King! Rise up, O King, and let it be so! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Kippur

Today, for many of us, is the 10th day of the month Tishrei. It is Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement or the Sbbath of Sabbaths. It is a day when we fast and pray. It is a time for the consideration of past sins, seeking forgiveness from the Father for these sins. We also pray for our nation, the nation of Israel, and all nations that these places might turn to our Father.

Leviticus 23:26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

We spend this day, even more than with others, seeking the face of God, and His mercy and forgiveness.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise and exalt your name Yahuah, forever. Blessed be Yahuah! Let us bring Your kingdom to the earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision such that we cannot contain it. Forgive us for our sins. Heal up our hearts, and heal up our minds. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds, that which has been taken, held back, or in any way kept from Your people or Your kingdom. Show us a sign for good to those around us, that all men might know that You alone are Yahuah! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Changing Lives

Today in America many reflect on the cowardly acts of terrorists that have attacked us. For me, I am saddenned that somehow mankind has slipped so far that we have people filled with that much hate. What if we could channel all that energy for good? How might the world change? Can we really do that? The answer is, we were supposed to do that from the beginning.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So we have been given a ministry of controling the earth. Now we just have to work on the “for the good” part.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Bless the name Yahuah! Let us change the world for good. Send us now Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Rest Of Us

We are trying as humans to follow our Father, right? That means we are going where He is going. Isn’t that great!? So where is He going? Well today, He is resting.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Let’s follow our Father and rest today.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us rest with You as lights. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

When We Pray

Since I was a small child, I have been taught to say something to God from time to time. This was referred to as prayer to me by my parents. Starting with rhymes, somewhere in grade school I believe, I began to talk about various things during prayer. I also remember much of my “prayer” being mental thinking towards God. At the same time, that mental thinking was often bombarded with negative thoughts. Growing older, I said more things out loud, and continued with the negative thoughts. In short, I struggled with prayer.

In recent years, I have continued to try to get to “the truth” and have come to realize that mostly I focused on what I believed, not on our Father Himself. That remains a struggle, however, at least a part of the time. I want to be able to think about Yahuah (Lord) all the time. I want to remember that this life is really just a vehicle, a means to an end, for us to be reunited with God, and to retake the earth. It seems to me, that prayer, (talking with the Father, saying out loud things He has said, considering actions and activities in light of scriptures and other things He says to us), is a key to living as we should live. It begins with remembering to speak right things, I believe.

Deuteronomy 30:9 And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

So to that end, I have been trying for some time to pray out loud, and repeat the scriptures out loud, often. If you have had a struggle, then you may want to try this approach.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise and thank You for all You have done for us. Bless the name Yahuah! Let us be Your people here, and let us do Your will here, that it may be here as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overwhelming provision that we cannot contain it. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people that which has been taken or held back one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

If We Will Praise

All too often I find myself spending time just thinking about life. What if this or that, or is it possible, could we…? I drove for a total of three hours yesterday. While I did spend some of that time praying, I also missed a great opportunity to praise Yahuah (Lord) for all He has done fo my family, my friends, and for me. Yet, life continues. This morning as I ponder this, and what I say I believe, it occurs to me that it is important that we believers act out our faith at all times. We have so much technology and other distractions that we sometimes just plain overlook these simple opportunities. The scriptures are plain on this point.

Psalms 34: 1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

There is much to be thankful for in this life. Our Father has a plan and a purpose for us. Let us continually bless and praise Him. Let us exalt the name Yahuah. He will deliver us fro all our fears.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Bless the name Yahuah! Let us be Your lights in this dark world that is growing lighter every day. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our brokenness in our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. Rise up, O King, rise up and free Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Knowing Is Fighting

When we read in scriptures about the importance of the truth, we can understand that we are meant to do something more. Not that we are creators of truth. We are not. But we can become bearers of the truth. This is important. It is one way that we do spiritual warfare.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

What is being said here is a little deeper than one might suspect at the onset. The knowing here is not the knowing that is a level of awareness. It is much deeper than that. The knowing here is that intimate knowledge between husband and wife, as in a man knowing his wife in other places in scripture. When we have this depth of knowing, when we are completely engulfed and one with the truth, it will set us free. From there, we can help others become free as well.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us know the truth that we might bring Your kingdom to this world. Send us now Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our minds and our hearts. Deliver us from the evil that kills, steals, and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which was taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Check The Building

When we think about our walk with the Father, we can compare it to building a building. Yeshuah (Jesus) did this several times.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

How important is it to keep in line with the commandments of God? Seems very important, right?

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

So, as we are walking out our walk, we need to always do a building check. Are we building the right thing at the right time in the right place, and are we committed to finish?

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us bring Your kingdom here. Send us now Your overwhelming, overflowing abundant provision. Forgive us our transgressions of the Law. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people all that has taken or held back one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Forward Ahead

Although a clunky phrase, today’s title really conveys a message. It is clunky by design. We are trying to move forward in life, but we hit challenges. Like me today, a broken windshield. So, we have to adjust. But when we adjust, it is with an eye toward moving ahead. It is always about our Father’s plan.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We receive this type of encouragement throughout the scriptures. Stay the course with the Father. It is not that He never loses. Rather, He already won!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us bring Your will and kingdom to this earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We call to You, Father. Help us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

King Of Comfort

At times in our walk with our Father, we just need to be comforted. Not that we do not need to learn to stand strong. Just that we need to understand that we do not always have to be strong. We can rely on Him and His strength to see us through. We need only cry out to Him and He will raise us up.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

So today, let’s be comforted in knowing that we have a Father that cares for us. He lifts us up.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us usher in Your kingdom in this earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision such that we cannot contain it all. Forgive us our sins. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken of held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
