Loving One Another

We are called as believers to love one another. We can do that if we will seek the face of our Father. In prayer, God shared a scripture with me that was encouraging. Today will be a simple one. I share this with you.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Today, let us be thankful. Let all our actions and communications cause us to help each other and bring no harm.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your will reign among us. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins, and help us all to forgive each other. Heal our hearts and minds. Restore Your people and their relationships with You and each other. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Thankfulness From The Mountain

Recently a friend of mine had opportunity to pray from a mountain. He said as he looked across the lights in the valley at night, He was filled with thankfulness at the awesomeness of God and His mercy. Over and over again my friend heard the word mercy in his spirit. Such a vision can only cause us to realize just how small we are, yet our Father cares for us.

Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Let us today be thankful for our Father’s never ending mercy and love.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! WE need Your will in the earth – send it now Father. Send us today Your provision in abundance. Forgive us our trespasses, and help us all to forgive the trespasses of others. We are a fragile people, and we do not mean to cause harm. Heal us from our wounds. Deliver us from the darkness of the present age. Rise up, O King, rise up and destroy the evil spirits that are behind the evil doings! Grind to powder the works of the enemy. Destroy them on every side, destroy and confound their works, grinding them to powder and blowing them away in the whirlwind. Let their be confusion in the enemies camp such that one thing does not remain able to be stacked on another. Let them flee their work is frustration and discontent. Let them be drawn to other things. Show Yourself King! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

See, Say, Sow

Last night I heard a speaker talk about how we move forward in the kingdom of God to promote the kingdom. Said another way, it was how we can conduct our spiritual warfare. He referenced the story of Abraham and how God made a promise to Him.

Genesis 15:4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Yahuah (Lord) gave Abram (his name at the time) a visual, something to see. It was like a vision that our Father gives to us. He could see the vastness of the number of the stars. Then God after a time visited Abram and gave him a new name.

Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

The name Abraham means “the father of many nations” and from that time on whenever anyone, including him, said his name, they were saying the father of many nations to him. Finally, Abraham was with Sarah and conceived a son, Issac.

Genesis 21:1 And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

These same principles appear throughout the Bible, New and Old Testament alike. We see that if we spend time with our Father, He will give us a vision for the thing, then we must speak what the vision is, and then we must act on that vision. This is how we can do our spiritual warfare, by acting in concert with our Father to do His will and His work.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your light shine in this earth. Let Your will be done here. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our transgressions, and blot them out, just as we forgive those that have transgressed against us and keep no record of wrongs. Heal the hearts and minds of Your people. Deliver us from the darkness that is against us. Restore unto Your people one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Prayers For Peace

In today’s world there seems to be little peace. Today we are thinking about how more peace in this world would do much for us all.

Psalms 122 A Song of degrees of David.
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

Today, let us pray for peace everywhere.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Bless the name Yahuah! Send Your light and will among us. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. We pray for Your forgiveness for our sins. Heal up the broken hearted. Restore unto Your people peace. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Vision For The Future

We all need to be willing to serve our Father. We all do that in different ways. If we are willing to humble ourselves and pray, and seek His face, our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) is willing to help us find our way. He sees differently than we see.

John 11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

We see that Jesus (Yeshua) did not see the world the way we see it. Instead, He had vision. He conveys that vision to us, and asks that we believe in Him.

With vision, we can see a better future as well.

Why The Hebrew

Recently I had some great discussions with people about the Sabbath after it was mentioned in a recent sermon. The question centered eventually around the scriptures and Jewish traditions. As those of you that read here have noticed, I have added the Hebrew names to the days of the week and the month. The main purpose here is to expose us all to these Hebrew names. The days are actually not correct spellings but written out pronunciations of those names. It is an exercise in learning. It also is hoped that we will all consider the scriptures, reading for understanding. Here are a few that address some of the concepts.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

We see here that Paul is saying that the law is not voided by faith. It is faith that somehow establishes it. One would conclude then that there is value in it. But we are not under the law – it is just a teacher to bring us to the Messiah. Many of us after school become friends and peers to our teachers. We do not completely disregard them, we just join with them in life long learning.

Galations 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

It is hoped then that these pieces of Hebrew that are included here become a point of learning, that like all other Christian experiences they lead us to our knees before our Father, asking for wisdom about how to live life, in the name of our Messiah, Yeshuah (Jesus).

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your will come forth among us as a light to the world. Send us today Your provision. Forgive us our transgressions, as we forgive the transgressions of others against us. Help others to forgive us as well. Heal up our hearts and restore our spirits within us. Look not on our transgressions, but rather renew Your Holy Spirit within us. Only You can restore, and we ask You restore Your people now. We ask You restore all that has been taken from Your people one hundredfold. Let there be peace in Your house, that all men might seek You. WE ask all these things in the name of ouur Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Come now, O King, and lift up Your people. Amen.

Unity

On this Sabbath, one thought seems to stand out for me more than any other. That is the blessing that our Father provides when the believers stand in unity.

Psalms 133
A Song of degrees of David.
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

As I see our Father revealed throughout the scriptures, whether in the Old Testament or the New Testament, the message I see very loudly is that He is the God of peace – shalom. When we follow Him, He provides it readily. When we return to following Him, He will provide it again. He especially is interested in not only us as individuals, but in us as all of His children collectively. Somehow, He believes in us and our ability to be reconciled one to another. He is more interested in today than tomorrow or yesterday. If we can learn to be with Him today, and remember that everyday, then we can be His people. If we oppose each other, then it becomes a challenge to remain His people. This is reflected in the words of Jesus (Yeshuah) as well.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

These were the words of our Messiah, knowing that the people word kill Him. And His response was profound.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

He forgave us all with that prayer. It seems we then should do the same, and strive for unity and peace.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Reach out to us as we praise Your name Yahuah. Let Your will shine as a light before all men. Send us Your provision today. Forgive us our sins. WE need Your help to forgive those that sin against us. We are human and tend to hold on to lists of wrongs. Help us to let go and be like Your Son, Yeshuah (Jesus) who died for us. Please help us be as forgiving as He was. Heal our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken or held back in any way. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Mercy Is A Gift

Our Father grants to us so many gifts. One of them is His great mercy. We can experience this if we call our to Him.

Romans 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Today, let us show mercy, just as our Father shows mercy.

Psalms 100

A Psalm of praise.
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your will reign. Send us Your provisions. Forgive us our sins. Restore the hearts and minds of Your people. Heal us, Father. In Your mercy, restore Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Helping Others

Sometimes the greatest spiritual warfare we can perform is to help others. There are many ways we can do this. One is through prayer and fasting.

Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

The fast is not to afflict our souls and ask for ourselves. It is to abstain from something that we might pray for others, and ourselves. We pray to release the wickedness, the heavy burdens, setting free the oppressed, and the breaking of every yoke. Feeding the poor, helping the needy. Our Father will honor such things. He will speak to us and guide and protect us.

Our Father is the King.

Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! We exalt You. Cleanse us and use us. Let us be Your light. Restore Your nation, restore Your people. Raise up Your people. Send us today Your provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal the broken-hearted. Restore unto Your people all that has been lost, taken, or held back in any way. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
