Battleground Land
Our Father is very generous in teaching us about life, if we let Him. By that I mean if we will take time to communicate with Him, and listen, we can hear what He has to say. This introduction today is an attempt to bring out our need for change, specifically in the way we think. For those of us plagued by challenging childhoods, our minds may have run unteathered for a long time. Our thoughts may have beaten us up for years.
Wouldn’t it be great not to be hammered in our thoughts everyday? If you as a reader do not experience any of this, keep reading because I assure you that you do know people that do that could use your encouragement. How can we help; how can we break this pattern? It is simple and yet can be difficult.
Change what you hear, which will help you change what you say, which will help give you power over what you do, then repeat that pattern. How do we know this works? It is a pattern that is repeated over and over again in scripture. First, thinking is important.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
What is in the mind is the person, or will be. How do we change the thinking?
Deuteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
We see here in verse 13 something important that might be overlooked. the last part says “…that we may hear it, and do it…” which plainly tells us that what we hear we can and probably will do. Makes a person want to rethink the music and video we hear and see, right? The next part is really so powerful. It answers the question about where can we get this word that we might hear it and do it. We get it from our own mouth! The words coming out of our mouth we will hear more deeply, and it is our own words which we will do and/or experience. Before we run off talking about driving a Vette and having a million dollars in our account, we should look for qualifiers. The qualifier is in verse 11. We are to be following the commandment of our Father. It is this commandment that has the blessing. What blessing? Just about everything you can think of as a blessing is covered by the blessings of following the commandments. Here is an example.
Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
And if that was not enough, there is one more that I really enjoy.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Today, let us begin to create support systems for ourselves that help us say and hear, then do, that which the Father has commanded.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Bless the name Yahuah! You are worthy of our praise and more. Let us be instruments of Your restoration of Your will and kingdom in this earth. Restore us, Father. Send us now Your overwhelming provision such that we do not have room to hold it all and it overflows to others. Forgive us our sins. Heal us up inside, and wipe out the past bad memories. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Crush that work. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the Name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Come Out Praying
At times we wonder what we will do in a given situation, such as a certain type of attack of the enemy. Us, or someone we know or love, may become ill or injured. Maybe we have a problem with the car or the plumbing. A friend I know recently had a problem with a used car he bought, and he really lost it. After cooling down he prayed and between he and his wife working as a team, they were able to get the first part of the electric window repair accomplished. Neither of them know anything about cars. The next day he prayed and asked the Father to help him find parts on Sunday. After a few calls he found out that a local car parts place had a hub in the neighboring town. He was able to get the parts for the window and for the electric door locks. He worked on them all afternoon and although it was dark when he finished, he had both up and running before bed. And he knows nothing about cars. This may seem like a simple story, but the point is God teaches us from the simple things in life. In this case, had he prayed in the beginning he might have fixed the car quickly on Saturday and not had to change so many plans. Anger got him.
When we face these situations, emotions click in. This is not necessarily bad. Where it becomes problematic is when we do not control the response for the good. All of the same emotion channeled into something for the good would only add to the power of the good. Prayer would be the better response. Speaking words of life, not speaking the death contained in evil words. We can add power to our praying when we add our emotion to our praying.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Today, let’s control our emotion and add our prayer to it. Then we can come out praying!
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us bear Your kingdom in this earth. Sne dus today Your overwhelming abundant provision such that we cannot contain it. Forgive us our sins. Heal us from the inside out. Deliver us from the evil on that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. Ride across the skies, my King, and destroy the works of the enemy. Add abundance to Your people, ten times greater than when Your people left Egypt, and more. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Prayer That Changes Things
Often I have thought about prayer and how it impacts lives. There have been many times where my prayers have been more like wishes. Worse yet, at times they have been expressions of my doubts, really. In those cases it was my stating what I thought impossible, then hoped that God would look past that and just do it. But my expectations were that nothing would occur. Lately I have seen many prayers answered in amazing ways. When the momentum picked up, there were a couple things that had changed. One was my praying. First, I focused on our Father to help me gain belief and trust, which allowed me different expectations, or hope as the bible calls it. This was important.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Again, my focus on the Father also caused my trusting Him to increase. I truly had greater belief that He was on my side.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
I began to see that our Father just wants His kids back. He just wants us to be with Him on His path. Then the final thing that seemed to have impact was a more simple thing. I began to pray out loud. Not really sure how this had impact, but it seemed to have significant impact. It does align with scripture.
Deuteronomy 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Our mouth plays a role. We need to say what the commandments say. then we are speaking what our Father is speaking.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are King! Bless the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom be on this earth, let us help to bring it about even as you have established it in the heavens. Send us today Your overwhelming provision, so great that we cannot contain it all, and it overflows to those around us, causing them to know it is You. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Deliver us from the thief that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Learning By Fighting
Most of us have heard of the phrase, “Learning by doing.” For some of us, reading does not work. We have to do the doing for it to work. It is the same in part for us as believers. If we will “do the work” we can learn from that as well. What is the work? It is to do battle with the enemy. But it is not a battle of triumph and glory, but of faith and peace. We walk out our Father’s commands, and that declares Him in this earth. When we declare Him in the earth, we eventually defeat darkness and make a way for us to all be victorious. That was always the plan.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
We have to do the work. We can do it if we will say it first.
What we say creates a space for our minds to think and our bodies to walk. When we say it, we begin the process of doing battle.
Today, let’s say what our Father said.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah!Let Your kingdom be established hear through us, Your people. Let Your power be revealed. Send us now Your overwhelming provision, such that we cannot contain it. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our minds, washing them clean and pure. Heal our hearts in the same way. Heal our bodies. deliver us from the thief that kills, steals, and destroys, smiting the enemy with Your angels. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We love You, Yahuah. You are our King! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Swords And Sheaths
It is possible as believers in battle to make mistakes. By that I mean we can accidentally injure our brothers and sisters. We can be trying to battle, and hit them with a sharp word coming from our own mouth. It is a challenge for sure. So what can we do to make certain we are battling the enemy and not each other? Stay focused. Remember we are fighting the one in front of us, not those on our side. Here is a good scripture to keep us moving in the time of battle.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our Sins. Heal us inside and out. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back, quickly. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

How Fast?
How fast should things happen when we pray? That is a question many of us have pondered I am sure. I know I have. Yet, we continue to work on this and ask the Father about it. The one scripture that comes to mind for me when I think on this topic is found in Mark.
Mark 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
We can have what we say and what we pray for in faith. We have to believe we receive them when we pray, and we will have them. That can be a challenge when there is a human deadline that needs to be met. But if we believe, it will come to pass. It can be a challenge at times, but we can meet that challenge head on if we allow ourselves to do so. We meet it by repeating scriptures to ourselves, defeating the enemy in our heads telling us lies.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Today, let us spend time praying and believing, and we shall have what we pray and say.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Let Your kingdom reign here through us. We praise Your holy name, Yahuah! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold. We ask these things iin the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Following The Winner
When faced with trials in life, one thing I have found useful is to follow after our King. Our Father always wins. I know this is often said, but just stop for a moment to think about that statement. Our Father ALWAYS wins. Our Father always WINS. That is the team we are on. And it is true that this is not some sport or weekend warrior deal where we do our best and everyone shake hands at the end. We are battling an enemy that is out to kill us, to steal from us, and to destroy us.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
This is as real as it gets. The challenge can be to remember that the enemy is playing for keeps. But if we will cling to our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus), then He will defend us from our enemy.
Then, we win.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom be here through us. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. Show us a sign for good, and restore beyond measure that which has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Battle In The Face Of Uncertainty
When we walk out our walk, we can spend time wondering how what we are doing fits into the “big picture” of our life and the purposes of our Father. We can have a sense of no being certain what the next step is. For me, I treat each directive from God as what I need to do until He gives a new direction. The challenge for us can be the time between these directions. But there are typically many things to learn while we are doing the work. We are to listen and do what we are commanded, and let God take care of the rest.
Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Today, let us seek Yahuah (Lord) and we will have our paths directed. Let us be certain in these things.
Prayer
Father, I exalt You. You are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us inside. Deliver us from the thief that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jsesu). Amen.

Reaching To See
When we are seeking our Father, it is possible for us to find ourselves in a place where we can almost “see” what’s next, but not quite. For many, this happens when we are in the middle of some type of struggle. The struggle can be for a problem faced, or a certain understanding desired from scripture, or perhaps a direction in life. What seems to be true is that we see what our Father knows we need to see at that moment.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
It is also true that we need to be about the business of looking, diligently.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
At times that diligence can be remaining in prayer until we “see” the answer we need – God reveals it. Or we may need to spend some time reading scriptures. Or it could be a combination of the two. Most important is believing that our Father is not against us, not out to get us. He is for us. If we will press in and fight through, the answer comes.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Bless the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom be here with us through Your will. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Heal us up inside and out. Deliver us from the thief that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been stolen or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

The Fight Begins In Your Head
No matter how many times I consider the power of the mind in the outcomes of our life, I continue to have to return to the topic for myself. I have to remind myself daily that the battle begins in my head. The negativity that surrounds most of us wants to creep in and take hold. When I feed my mind good things, life seems better. Interestingly enough, as my life view improves mentally, it tends to show up in my real world. This concept is supported throughout the scriptures. God considered the world before He created it. Perhaps the most well known scripture in this regard is from the Proverbs.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…
If these things are true, clearly we need to control our thinking processes, right? We are saying that what is in our head becomes our reality in some manner. Therefore, perhaps the most important battle for any of us is the one in our head to fight for good thoughts that result in a good life.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Bless the name Yahuah! Let the will that You exert in the heavens be exerted here as well. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the thief that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. Make manifest in Your people today the power to get wealth that the covenant might be established. Your people need a manifestation of that wealth today Father. Let it manifest today. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
