Making Our Way through

We just had the only the third snow of the season, and we are more than half through winter. Not that snow is bad; it is just that so many people seem to have bad car accidents during this weather. It seems like every year we hit these “hard times” of travel and weather and we just find ourselves longing for spring. Perhaps that is why our Father made this season. He wanted us to long for the time when the season changed and the grass grows and the flowers bloom. It teaches us about longing for something, like the coming of Messiah, and that eventually, that which is longed for comes.

Isaiah 64:1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

We can know that as sure as there will be a spring, ou Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) is on Hi way back to us. We will see Him again… soon!

Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We long for the return! Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us up from the inside. Deliver us from all of the evil that comes to steal from us and has stolen from us. Restore unto us one hundred times one hundred fold, and hundreds of hundreds. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Another Day

There is a friend of mine I was speaking with last night that has an interesting story. His property was almost stolen. That property is his house. It was almost stolen by the banks in the Land Grab of ’08, as he tells it. His story was indeed fascinating. He even has the court documentation and many letters to the bank to prove it. But it was not the story of how white collar criminals have gone free that was the most striking to me. It was his sheer thankfulness at every day that the Father allows him to stay in the property, against all odds. Pretty much all those around him abandoned him, sadly even those naming the name of our Messiah. But he just smiles and thanks God for the deliverance so far. He told me that every day is another day, every day holds promise, and every day hold the opportunity to be set free from the tyranny. Just listening to him tell of his hope and his trust in Messiah encourages me. God is on our side.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Today, let us rejoice in another day.

Father, we exalt You. You are the only King for us. We long for Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us up from the inside. Deliver us from the thief that has stolen and continues to steal. Destroy the destroyer, take back from the thief what You have given to Your people. Restore one hundred times one hundred fold, and even hundreds of hundreds to Your people now. We ask all of these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Only If We Try

Today I thought about how cool it is that we have a God that never loses. What does that mean for us? Well, since He is on our side, I guess we win! But there is one requirement. We do have to try. God never forces anything on us. We have to be willing participants in our own lives.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Here Paul speaks about wholeness (salvation). That is everything really. So we have to believe and speak. Then things can change and God will move on our behalf.

Encouragement Through Inspiration

Thinking today about the ways I am encouraged, I thought of several talks I heard recently. In those talks the speaker was able to motivate many people to believe they could do something. After the presentations many went into action. They were inspired by what they saw and heard. I was one of those people. There is a scripture that comes to mind when I think of what happened.

Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.

When we here words that hit some internal chord, we are inspired, we are motivated, to take action. This is also true when we speak in a way that causes others to take action. A part of the move to action comes from some belief that it can be done, or should be done, or needs done, etc., and we can be that one because we now believe we can.

Father, we exalt You. You are King. Praise the name Yahuah! The kingdom holds hope fur us, a hope for peace. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts, and remove any darkness there. deliver us from the evil that continues to steal from us. Restore to us one hundred times one hundred fold. Rise up my King! Help us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Honoring Those Before

Setting aside yesterday’s technical difficulties that prevented me from posting, I want to acknowledge the commitment of those that perished on December 7 so many years ago at Pearl Harbor. Yet another example of how we as humans seem unable to live in the peace our Father asks us to seek, many perished while they were not yet at war. To them I dedicate this page.

Psalms 23 A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

May these men and women be at peace.

Father, we exalt You. You are King. We ask that you let Your kingdom reign on the earth, just as it is in heaven. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Thank you for all You have delivered us from through the shed blood of Your Son. Thank You for Your kindness and Your mercy toward us. Heal us from the inside, Father. Deliver us from the evil that is steal and destroying Your people. We as these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshauh (Jesus). Amen.

All The Same

As my wife lifted the blinds to see into the back yard this morning, I looked to see the same yard I see everyday. A little colder, perhaps, but the same yard essentially. At that moment I realized that each day when I look out that window in the morning, unless God tells me otherwise, I really do not know for a certainty what the day will hold. I was thinking how today could be a day of great deliverance for us and for many, but until the evening comes to lay our heads on the pillow, we do not know how that will play out. It is true that we can know some things, such as our God loves us and cares for us.

John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Prior to the time of the Messiah, people called out to our God for deliverance and all the other things they needed, just as we do. Here, Yeshuah (Jesus) is stating that after His death and resurrection we will be able to ask the Father Yahuah (Lord) for things in the name of His Son Yeshuah (Jesus), and The Father will give it to us.

We do not know how our Father will deliver us, only that He will, if we ask in the name of Yeshuah (Jesus). All days look the same at the day’s beginning.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You as the One True God. Bless the name Yahuah. Let Your kingdom be here among us. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds that our hearts be not hardened. Deliver us from evil that has stolen and is stealing from Your people. Rise up, my King, and come to the aid of Your people with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. We ask these things of Your, Father, in the name of Yeshauh (Jesus). Amen.

We Must Persevere

If we stay the course, we win. It seems that all of us as believers have obstacles in life to overcome. It is important that we keep working toward the victory in these things. We must not allow ourselves to get so tired from our efforts that we stop.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Paul gave us this caution. It is easy to give in, to give up, when times get hard. It can seem very hard to keep fighting. But one thing that has worked for me is to meditate on who God is each morning. His mercies are new every morning. If we remember that He is on our side and has already sent forth the victory, we can know that all we need do is persevere. He has already done the rest.

When I meditate on Yahuah (Lord) instead of thinking about who I am, it becomes easier to believe and then see. He is more than able to overcome any challenge in my life. I am not able to overcome many of these challenges on my own. We are made in His image. When we call out to Him, He responds. When we are “tuned in” to Him, we will resonate with Him and overcome.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our One True King. We love You and Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming blessing. Forgive us our sins. Heal our minds that we might have the strength of mind to overcome evil. Deliver us from the enemy that is stealing from us and has stolen from us repeatedly. Rise up Mighty King! Smite our enemy! Destroy the works of stealing. Restore to us one hundred times one hundred fold all that has been taken. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yahuah (Jesus). Amen.

Challenged By The Moment

Many in the faith find times when they struggle. They feel challenged by what we see around us.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For example, this morning I faced brakes out in my van. My day was full, and we have had our fair share of challenges recently. But at the repair shop, I struck up a conversation with the mechanic. It all resulted in opportunity.

We only need believe and trust that our Father is on our side.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. We need Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us from the evil that is stealing from us. Come quickly Father. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah. Amen

Help Comes

Sitting here today writing this, I think about the times and stories that I have heard about how our Father comes to the rescue of people. It is true, and has been true throughout the ages. He takes care of us. We are His people, and He never forgets to take care of His people. There are at least two sides to that experience. There is God’s side, where He sees the end from the beginning. And then there is our side, where we see the sequence of events. It causes me to think about Moses and the experiences of the Exodus.

Moses grows up, kills an Egyptian, and flees. In a distant land he marries, becomes a shepherd, and is content. Then our Father, Yahuah (Lord), calls him from a burning bush. He shows Moses signs, and tells him to go tell Pharaoh to let the people go to worship in the wilderness. He gives Moses the ability to demonstrate these same signs to the elders of Israel. Then they go through some amazing times, leading up to the Red Sea. At what point does Moses know God’s ways?

Psalms 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

This becomes an important question for us as believers. When we face challenges, or even perhaps what seems like overwhelming odds, we need to know Yahuah’s (Lord) ways. It helped Moses make it through the time from leaving to go to Egypt through the Exodus and the forty years of wandering. It is through faith in our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) that we can know that God hears us and is on our side. He knows what we need before we even say it.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

This leads to so many thoughts about our walk with the Father. Certainly He watches over us. Certainly He cares for us. Certainly He is on our side. We need to be like Moses, able to believe that we hear Yahuah (Lord) when He speaks to us, and then act upon those things He says to us. Certainly, we can rely on Him.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. It is Your Kingdom we seek. Bless the name Yahuah! We ask that today, this very day, You send to us provision. Make it abundant provision, a sign to those that do not believe You are true. Forgive us for our sins. Heal up our insides that we might believe and cling to You at all times. Deliver us from the destroying thief that has taken over so much authority for the sustenance of this land. Your people have been robbed. Many do not even know the theft is occurring. Help us. Come with a strong hand today and an outstretched arm. Smite the thief and grind that work to powder today. Come quickly, my King, come quickly. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Don’t Freeze Up

Faith in our God is a very freeing experience. When we have faith in God, no matter how dark circumstances may seem, we can live in the freedom of His loving arms around us. Yes, we may lose everything around us, but we will still have Him. We will still have that freedom. God knows what is going on before we even ask.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Since we know this is true, we can know that we do not have to give place to fear. When we give place to fear, it causes us to freeze up. But we were not created for that fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

And we know that if we fight and don’t give in, we can go on the offense.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Today, if you find yourself freezing up because you are in fear, fight back. The worst that can happen is we lose all our stuff, or even this earthly shell. But we already know the outcome. Our Father is on our side. We win.

Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We praise the name Yahuah! We long for Your kingdom, Father. Send us today Your abundant provision. Heal us up from the inside. Bring restoration to those parts that still need renewing and healing. Create in us clean hearts and minds. Deliver us from the destroyer that is trying to steal from and destroy Your people. Rise up, Yahuah (Lord), and come rescue us. Bring the completeness of Your Shalom (peace) in our lives. Bring the host and destroy the darkness. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
