Yom Shli-Shi, Shevat 11, 6001 – January 10, 2017

Foundations First

When we build a structure, it has to be on something solid. That something solid has to be already in good shape. Something that will not be moved. In construction today, that means establishing a solid foundation. The same is true of our walk with our Messiah.

Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

An important consideration here is to remember that foundations do not stand forever. They need attention to make sure they remain solid. This is not just true in constructing buildings. It is also true in the building up of ourselves in the Messiah. A foundation can be repaired, but it is easier to maintain than to repair after it begins to crumble. Once it begins to crumble, the house has to be lifted up and work done to the foundation to restore it to a solid state.

Today, let’s take time to look at our foundations to make sure they are in good repair. Where there is a problem, do not put off working on the problem. The best time to build a strong foundation is 20 years ago. The second best time is today.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Help us make our foundations strong that we might be a light of Your will to those that see us in the storms. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our transgressions of the Law (sins). Heal our hearts, minds, bodies, souls, and spirits. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
