When We Build
This morning as I was praying about what to write about building, one facet of building came to mind more than others. The idea of the building inspector. In a spiritual sense, who is our building inspector? Us, Jesus… who exactly. The more I thought about it I came up with – all of the above. We know that God watches over us at all times.
Psalms 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.I will…: or, Shall I lift up mine eyes to the hills? whence should my help come?
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
Yahuah (Lord) does not even sleep, He is watching over us so much. So for sure, He is an Inspector, for good. But He is also the Builder with us.
Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Finally, if that was not enough, God has given unto us the Holy Spirit that we might be able to learn correctly how to build.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
So today when we build, let’s reach out to our Father to teach us how to build the proper way, knowing that He is with us to guide us in our work, and back to the blueprints if we err.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be Your lights to shine Your will in this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed against us. Heal our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil here. Rise up, O my King! Strike down the works of evil that have come against Your people. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken, held back, or broken apart in any way from Your people, and the more besides, that all men might know that You alone have done these things. We assk all this in the name of Jesus, our Messiah Yeshuah. Amen.
