Like Passions

A friend of mine that plays music, flies jets and teaches others to fly, invents things, etc (a Renaissance man), once shared something important with me. He was at peace with who He was, and that while he still prayed to ask God for forgiveness and improvement, he was okay. He referenced to me a great scripture from James.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Elijah was a man like us. And yet, he had great results in prayer. That was indeed comforting at the time. I have thought more on this since then.

Like Elijah, we all know we have flaws. Or, we do if we are wise enough to be honest with ourselves. Perhaps we should call out to our Father and ask Him to help us in this flawed state to find a way to be comforted. We may not have the faith to believe that the path can be cleared, but He does. Perhaps He can make a way where once again our hearts can be at peace, we overcome our flaws, and maybe, just maybe, we can be at peace, with joy, in this earth. And the tears and sadness of today can be washed away…

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in Heaven. Send us now Your provision that we might be filled and overflow to those around us. Deliver us from the evil here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all of the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore us, Father, unto You as You had meant it to be in the garden. Help us to find peace here, with joy in You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that the worm has eaten, or that has been taken or held back in any way. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.
