Endurance Training

Currently I am working my way through some training to help me increase my endurance, primarily. One might say I am going through endurance training. What that means is I am doing things to build up and stretch my endurance. This will help me last longer in distance events for swimming, biking, and running. The thought of endurance made me think about how as believers we have to endure times of the trying of our patience. We have to be willing to go through certain things to get to the other side. It would make sense then that what we are doing is going through endurance training for our faith.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

We see hear that there will be things to endure to get to the end in victory. In Abraham’s case, it was life and learning to trust that God would bless him.

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

When we feel like we are enduring something, it is important to spend time doing what we need to do to learn to endure. What we need to do is spend even more time with our Father in prayer, praise, and meditating on the scriptures.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Send us now Your overwhelming provision that we might use it to promote Your kingdom here and care for the widow and the orphan. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore Your people to where they were intended, better than they ever were. Restore unto Your people all that has been eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God here in the hearts and minds of mankind. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah, asking them of You. We ask in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.
