All We Have
All we have is an interesting concept for believers. Our Messiah spoke of this when the widow gave at the temple.
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Here our Messiah compares what the rich man gave to what the poor widow gave. He said she gave more because she gave all she had, her entire living. All we have is a comparison. It does not look at all there is, but rather compares to what we have or even what we can do. For believers, I suggest, all we have is really in the end, our relationship to the Father and His Son, Yeshuah (Jesus). If we can focus on this, which is the true value of life, we can always find our way.
Life is in part about continuing to find our way to the Father. If we are on His path, stay the course. If we are off the path, look for His light, and find our way back to the path. That is the message from the beginning of the scriptures to the end of the scriptures. Always find our way to the light. One of these ways is to give all we have. This is the second thing Yeshua states when asked about the greatest command.
Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
One way we can do this is give what we have, our relationship with the Father, to others. Acts of service are most helpful to them and to others.
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Here we see that we are to extend ourselves to one another spiritually. This is another form of giving all we have. We need to give to one another the blessing of knowing the Father through His Son, our Yeshua (Jesus).
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Father, cleanse us that we might be Your light in this dark place. Send us Your provision now. Forgive us for our sins. Heal the hearts, minds, and spirits of Your people. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
