Yom Shabbat, Adar 17, 6003 – February 23, 2019
Resting And Learning
Yom Shabbat, or “seventh day” is traditionally thought of as the day of rest. Interestingly the day of rest has been shifted to Yom Rishon, or “first day” which is a whole study in itself. Maybe even a group of studies. Anyway, I suggest it is also a day of learning. We learn about YAH and His creation. We try to gain understanding of His goals in getting us to this point, and beyond. We want to truly know Him to rest with Him.
2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
We do these things that we might reveal them to others. This is a good thing on this Shabbat.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here and let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Send us Your overflowing provision that we might have no need, and give unto others. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah. Restore unto Your people all the good that has been taken of held back in any way, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,483,062.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of Your, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMoshiach. Amen and Amen. Amen.
