Yom R’vi’i, Third Month 21, 6006 – June 9, 2021

Mind Battle

Every day we are at war. Some days it may not seem like we are, but those are just the days when we are not necessarily on the front lines of the revealed warfare. That is the nature of spiritual warfare. It is very present, but sometimes just hidden. This is nowhere more true than in the battle for the mind. YAH gives us the opportunity to win and overcome those that are against us. We may think it is people. Sometimes it is. Overwhelmingly it is the dark forces of the insignificant one that are against us. Even when it is people, most often they are driven or at least enabled by the work of the spiritual darkness of which they are likely unaware.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

As Paul suggests here, it often begins with us in our minds. For me, it has been a challenge to clear my mind at times. One of the reasons I have struggled is that I accept what the world arounds me calls reality, and that I have to be in reaction to it. But the scriptures paint a very different picture. We are creating the world by our thoughts, words, and beliefs tied to actions. My current efforts surround trying to remember to address these points in my life from YAH’s perspective, and therefore create His world.

The best way to win a spiritual battle is to make it impossible for the enemy to exist. That is the world I strive to create.

Prayer
Father, I exalt You. I exalt You. You alone are my King. You alone are my everything. You mean everything to me. Let Your kingdom come here, and Your will be done here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send me now Your provision. Forgive me my trespasses and transgressions, and help me to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against me. Deliver me from the evil here, and the evil plans mankind has for me, O YAH. Thank You for showing me a path to clarity, to Your path. Help me be victorious in thinking only of You. Keep me from the temptations YAH. Yours is this kingdom and power and all the glory. I ask all these things of You Father King in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.
