Making Changes
Sometimes the greatest way to make impact is to change. For some reason humans tend to think of change as difficult. It can be hard to change, especially if we choose to focus so far in to the future. But what if we focus on the right now? We can look at the immediate, and start there. The first step to change that fights and wins in the spiritual warfare arena is in our speaking. We have to state what is the truth about what we want to change.
Deuteronomy 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
So we see here that we can change by what we say lining up with the Law. This allows us to begin to do it, to return to doing God’s will. When we return to doing YAH’s will, we get what He promised just before this.
Deuteronomy 30:6 And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7 And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9 And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
Many times I have heard people say the “Old Testament” is about God’s punishing us and judgement, and the “New Testament” is about grace and God doing away with the Law. But is is clear here that YAH was always concerned with the heart. This is the very reason that Yeshuah (Jesus) said what He did in Matthew.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Yeshuah (Jesus) came to keep the Law perfectly (what this word for “fulfill” really means). If we speak against the Law (teach) to get others to follow those words spoken out loud, we become least in the kingdom. If you speak the Law, which empowers us to keep it, we can become great in the kingdom of heaven. Yeshuah spoke about what is in our hearts often, that what is in our hearts must be right, and not just our deeds. Our words mold our actions, and when they align with YAH He gives us a new, circumcised heart to be like Him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH. Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and mind and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us Your provision, that we might use it for ourselves and those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Forgive us, and we will be forgiven. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore Your people unto You. Send Mary a husband that she desires that will be like Yeshuah to her for the rest of her life, whom she can trust and honor. Give her the good things of the promises You have shown in Your Law. Restore all that the worm has eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.
