Yom Rishon, Seventh Month 10, 6006 – September 26, 2021

Yom Kippur

Using the calendar that I use, this is the day of Yom Kippur, the day of atonement. We are to do something to our souls. The typical translation is afflict our souls.

Leviticus 23:26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Interestingly enough, the word translated afflict here is exactly the same word translated sing in other places. What this tells me is likely there is something different that just “affliction” here, and likely it is meant for us to have intense tonal outcries to YAH. It is representative of the work of the Messiah for sure, and perhaps on day when He returns, of the Judgement Seat of the Messiah.
Prayer
Father, I exalt You. You alone are King. You are my King. Praise the name YAH! Praise the name YAHUAH! You are King. Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Send me now Your provision. Forgive me my trespasses and transgressions, and help me to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here, and from the evil plans men have for me. I love You and I trust You YAH. Restore now my King. I ask all these things of You Father King in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.
