Yom Ri-shon, Shevat 23, 6001 – January 22, 2017
What Do We Do?
There are always challenges in life that are bigger than us. It has always been that way, and will always be that way, until the return of our Messiah Yeshuah. As believers we have to answer these challenges in some way. Do we let fear overtake us, or do we surrender to our Father, trusting that He has a plan? If we are not in these situations, and just viewing them as a theological concept, we might answer rather quickly and say trust. But in the throws of these moments, the answer can seem much more distant. A friend of mine told me he recently was in such a position. He turned to scriptures for the answer.
Psalms 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
When we are in a troubled place, if we cry out to Yahuah that we are human, He hears us. He will heal when He is called upon. He will deliver when He is called upon. Only He can make the impossible possible. There can be a season of weeping, but healing will come, if we will continue with Him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let your light shine in the earth. Send us today Your provision. Forgive us our sins. Turn Your face away from our transgressions, and we will lift up our hands in praise. Blot our our transgressions, and create in us clean hearts. Renew a right spirit within us. Lift up those that downtrodden. Restore Your people, and heal them. Return to Your people all that has been taken. Hear the prayers of Your people now. Do miraculous works that only You can do. Be our Father, take away our divisions. Heal the hearts and minds, and grant forgiveness between us. Let us rise again as a sign unto You, and let not them say there is no deliverer. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
