Thankful For Those Before

There are many people that have gone on before us. And many of them have done great things. We are in position to have so many examples of how to live life. There have been people of faith that have committed themselves to great changes, and they have changed. For me personally, there are a number of changes that I would like to be certain take place in my own life. In the midst of the need for change, I want to stay the course and change myself. Quite possibly there will be those that read this writing here that identify with the desire to change something in their own life. If that is you, then we are together. And the truth is, we can change. We have to be willing to change from within. And to do that we have to be determined to do the work to change. The controlling piece of that is in our mind and speech. The good news, these can be renewed as well.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We see here that the whole body can be changed by the mind being transformed. We transform the mind by changing what it spends time thinking about, because that is what is in the mind. Left to itself, it runs around doing whatever, like the heart. But we can direct it by controlling the inputs.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This morning for the first time I saw that this verse is saying that the Messiah is what Moses was talking about. Verse 5 points out Moses, and the verses 6-7 are quoting Moses! This is an explanation of what Moses was saying about how the Law works because of the Messiah, not in opposition to work of the Messiah! Moses was telling us how we can use the spoken word of faith that already exists in our hearts (because of the Messiah) to speak this faith and have the wholeness we seek, both in the physical and the spiritual!

There are inspirational stories all around us, if we will just look for them. And there are inspirational stories in scripture.

Today, we can be thankful for those that have gone before us. They left a trail of breadcrumbs.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You! You alone are our King! Praise Your name, YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, as it is in heaven. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away the thoughts and memories of evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You, and Your love for us. Reveal Your words to us, that we might speak them. Reveal Your actions to us, that we might do them. Let us serve You. Make us whole inside and outside. Send me the $424,523,962.53 for Your kingdom, and clear the path that it might come quickly. Deliver us from evil. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back that was good, and the more besides. Whether it be lands, possessions, monies, gold, silve, prescious gems, or any other good thing, loose them now from the grip of the enemy and send them speedily to Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We asak all these things in Your name, Father, the name YAH! Let these all be so in the name of YAH Yeshuah! Amen.
