Fighting With Confidence
What if going in to a conflict, we could see the future and know the outcome? And in that future outcome, we saw that we were the victor? What would that feel like, and how would that impact how we acted in the overall process? I think that there are several options here, really. We could be holding a grudge, and knowing that we will win, have a sense of arrogant pride about the outcome. That could possibly lead to “showing off” in any variety of ways. Or we could hope that it would be true. Or, perhaps, we could be thinking of the ones we were opposing, and want to cry out to them to plead with them to stop before we overcame them. Perhaps this is what motivated Michael when he struggled with satan.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
This is the same as us using the name of Yahuah, or Yeshuah, to overcome the forces of darkness in our lives. Even in the case of defeating satan, we should remember that the enemy is a creation of our Father. We do nothing on our own. We do all we do to advance God’s kingdom. We can know that we can move forward, not in pride and arrogance, but in knowing that we are a part of restoring Yahuah’s (Lord’s) creation.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are the King of the universe and beyond. We need Your kingdom here now. We bless the name Yahuah! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our broken hearts. Deliver us from the evil men that would steal from us what You alone have provided, and come with a strong hand now to do it. In Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
