Humble Is Good

Humans can be interesting creatures. It seems that the general tendency is to take credit for the good in our lives and ask God why when we perceive something bad in our lives. In truth, if we move to a humble position, then the good will not become a distraction and the bad will not prevent us from staying the course. Scriptures speak to this in a number of places.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

The humble place takes effort, because it is not our natural state, I suggest. It takes patience, and a willingness to let God be God.

Today, let us humble ourselves in His sight, and our Father Yahuah will lift us up.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! We thank You for all You are and all You do. Let Your kingdom come to earth through us. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our minds that we might think on You, and our hearts that we might love You more. Deliver us from the thief that steals and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
