Monkey Bread And Other Comforts

This morning my daughter was up bright and early. The reason… she remembered I promised to make Monkey Bread with her. If you have never had this sweet concoction, you should look it up on the web. It is very easy, and tastes delightful. It would definitely qualify as comfort food for sure. But as I think about my daughter and her eagerness to make it. I think there was an additional comfort in the mix for her. She was comforted as much by the fun of making this treat with dad as she was eating the sweets afterward. It is like that for us. We can be comforted in knowing that we get to spend time with our Father when we are involved in our lives routine.

Psalms 67:1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Here we see that the people apparently were people that raised food from the land. When they took time to spend with God, the very land gave increase, and the people were blessed. This is just the way God has ordained things to work. Where God is, there is life and there is increase, in His time. Praise God!

Prayer
Father, we exalt you as the Most High God. You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. We love to be in Your presence, in Your kingdom here in this earth. We love and exalt You, and praise Your name, Yahuah (Lord), above all. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us when we fall short. Lift us up. We will praise Your name forever. Heal us and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
