Sha-bat, Tevet 4, 6002 – December 23, 2017

Resting Days

We are given a blueprint to life. That blueprint includes a recognition of things around us like the sun, moon, and the sky. Days, weeks, months, and years. Plant life, animal life, and the need to have dominion over the earth. The interesting thing I have been discovering lately is, there are many claims as to what these things really are and when they occur. One thing is clear. We are to rest on the Sabbath each week.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

We see that God established and kept the Sabbath.

Leviticus 23:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

We see here that God spoke through Moses, the prophet, that the Sabbath was a holy convocation.

Hebrews 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

The word in verse nine for “rest” is the Greek word, sabbatismos, which is translated everywhere else, and means, Sabbath. So, according to Paul, the Sabbath remains for us as believers.

All this is said for one purpose here. I believe that there is much hidden from us in plain sight because we have chosen to believe what others have told to us, rather than spending time with our Father and just asking Him to reveal Himself and His will and His kingdom to us.

Today, on this Sabbath, let us all rest.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here. Send us now while it is called today Your overwhelming provision, that the overflow might impact many for the kingdom. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away the thoughts and memories of evil done to us or by us. In their place, please let there be only the thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Cleanse our hearts and minds, and we will be healed. Heal our bodies. Deliver us from the evil here. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that Your kingdom might be advanced. Rise up, my King, and deliver Your people once again. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold, and thousands of thousands, all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We need You now, Father. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name of YAH Yeshuah. Amen.
