Preparations For The King
This morning as I was thinking about the coming celebrations of the Feasts, it reminded me that it is like preparing to receive someone – the King. If we stop to think, we would blow the trumpet to announce His arrival (Feast of Trumpets). For many of us we would stop to think about who we are, really, and pause to seek forgiveness one last time (Yom Kippur). Finally, when He arrived, we throw such a big party that would last days, and we would have to go to a park or field or somewhere to have enough room (Feast of Tabernacles). At the end, we would have one last big dinner party to bid each other farewell for a time (the Eighth Day).
As I thought about these things here on the Sabbath, it seemed good to me to know when we should do these things. Today I want to spend some time thinking on His return and what we all will be doing. Today is a good day to read the Law and study the commandments, and to praise Yahuah for all He has done!
Psalms 148:1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
Praise Yahuah!
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom reign here! Send us today Your overwhelming blessing of provision such that we cannot contain it. We need You and we ask Your forgiveness for our sins. Heal our hearts and minds today. Deliver us from the evil that steals from us what You have provided. Come now with a strong hand and outstretched arm to destroy the works of our enemies and free Your people. Come quickly, hear our cries. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
