Listen Close

Sitting here thinking about all of the scriptures that tell me to listen. To hear. To understand. To do. And the ones that come to mind are “from the Father” to the reader. What has come to light in my own life is the need to listen close. It is easy for me to hear or read something and think I immediately know what has been said. But what I am discovering is that there is often assumption or paradigm that colors what I am concluding from what I hear. The good news is, God does not hate me for it. He brings me back to look and hear again. What a loving Father!

Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
And hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
And apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
And liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver,
And searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.

Mirrors Help

It is good for me to remember that I am a man just like all other men. The difference may be as simple as the choice to serve the Messiah with YAH as my King. That is really a gift from YAH. We are none better than the other. Certainly I am no better than any other person here. I am just searching to be the best me that I can be. That is a good thing.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

So Many Blessings

If I just take a moment it is so easy for me to see the many blessings YAH has placed into my life. Family, some friends, but most of all the ability to spend time with Him. That is staggering really when I think about it. And to know that He is there for me to call out to and for me to trust and rely on. It makes me thankful, gives me a true joy, and I am happy in the moment. All that from YAH who really owed me nothing, and to whom I owe everything.

Psalm 100 A Psalm of praise.
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: Come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:
It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Speak Your Future

It is important for me to know How to live my life before the King. I love YAH with everything in me that I can. Yet like Paul, sometimes I get confused. But YAH always brings me back, often with scripture. One scripture was particularly important to me.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Holding The Band Together

Ever wonder why some of the greatest bands do not stay together? It has often puzzled me that this is true, but then I look at life generally, and I understand it more. Humans have a tendency to polarize themselves if they do not set out to not let that happen. It appears that we have lost what may have been an innate ability to stay the course. At any rate, today I encourage you to encourage others to move forward in life, together.

Only YAH

There have been and will likely always be times in my life where challenges faced are beyond me. In those moments I must remember that it is YAH alone that is my refuge. No man can be my shield and comfort. It is only Him. To that end I also try to remember to say or sing aloud those scriptures of deliverance, for He alone is King.

Psalm 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous:
For praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the LORD with harp:
Sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Beginnings Have A Beginning

Each week signals a new beginning. That is one of the purposes of this day of the week, the first day of the week. And it has a beginning as well. We are all here because of YAH. He alone decided to create this place for us and to put us here. We are all given the ability to exercise our will in this place and to that end we can be comforted knowing it is so. He loves us and has given us the ability to make a difference here. We can do this if we try, and try we must if we are to succeed. Such a comfort to know that He has established this from forever, the end from the beginning! Praise the name YAHUAH!

Isaiah 46:8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Peaceful Listening

Shabbat Shalom! Today I encourage all who read this, enjoy the Sabbath with the Father, your families, and your friends. It is good for people to have the opportunity to grab hold of YAH their Father and learn from Him. He is there for us, and longs to spend time with each of us. He alone is King!

Heart To Heart

So many discoveries are happening these days, it is difficult to keep up. YAH is like that. He likes to spend time with His kids, and teach them things. He wants to teach You as well. Let me encourage you to go to Him with an open mind and learn to set your own thoughts and ideas – your burden – down. Let Him teach you. You will not be disappointed.

Happy To See The World

Each day I get to choose to be happy or not. I get to see something new even in those things that repeat everyday. Or I can choose to be unhappy and become quite bitter. The latter is a place I have been and have had to pull myself out of to survive. The good news is that we can always escape by just calling out to YAH. Everyday He accepts us.

Lamentions 3:22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed,
Because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning:
Great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul;
Therefore will I hope in him.
