That Great Day – The King Draws Near!

So this Sabbath is the 8th day of the Feast of Tabernacles – or more correctly the Sabbath that is added at the end of the seven day feast. Known as that great day, it was also the day upon which our Messiah was circumcised. Today, as you spin time with YAH, ask Him more about this day and what was important about it. Praise YAH!

Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Feast of Tabernacles Day 7 – Psalm 146

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man,
In whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth;
In that very day his thoughts perish.
5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the LORD his God:
6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is:
Which keepeth truth for ever:
7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed:
Which giveth food to the hungry.
The LORD looseth the prisoners:
8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind:
The LORD raiseth them that are bowed down:
The LORD loveth the righteous:
9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; He relieveth the fatherless and widow:
But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion,
Unto all generations.

Feast of Tabernacles Day 6 – Thank You Father

When I think of the intricacies of the plan that YAH has made, I stand in awe. And not only that He made the plan, but that He considered you and me in His plan. And instead of giving us what we deserve, He provides for us to have life. All I can think of is to say thank You over and over. Praise YAH!

Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength,
Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust;
Who subdueth my people under me.
3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him!
Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Man is like to vanity:
His days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down:
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them:
Shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 Send thine hand from above;

Feast of Tabernacles Day 5 – Battle On

We are called to life. And for us to live unto YAH, we are a challenge to the enemy. He wants to rule and reign here on this earth. He wants to be the master of all. But that is not the plan of YAH. His plan is for mankind to be empowered to rule and care for this planet. And we can so do within the path and presence of our King! He has a plan for us.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Live your life. Walk out the plan. You already won!

Feast of Tabernacles Day 4 – We Will

We are often in a position to determine whether or not we will be a part of a group of one or more people. It is true that we should likely consider this carefully. However, There will be some group somewhere that needs us. Let’s find that group!

Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Feast of Tabernacles Day 3 – Step To Win

We are meant to win. YAH has made that clear again and again in scripture. The question becomes, what do we do to be a part of that process? Well, it is not about trying to undo past steps. And it is not about trying to do next week’s steps. It is about the next step, the one right in front of you. We are here. What is next? Block out everything else. Do what is next.

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Feast of Tabernacles Day 2

For the last weeks I have been posting the group of Psalms that are referred to as the “Songs of Ascent” which were sung as travelers traveled up to Jerusalem. They would be traveling these days because it is the Feast of Tabernacles. Why is this feast important? Well, AFTER the Messiah returns, splits the mountain when He steps on it, and defeats the armies that come against Jerusalem, He sets up His 1,000 year reign. And during that reign, we keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Bless thee out of Zion.

1 LORD, remember David,
And all his afflictions:

Nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
5Until I find out a place for the LORD,
An habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
