What To Do?

Have you ever had a number of choices to make on a number of subjects with the resulting decisions all taking some of your time, and there is no way you can do them all? I believe that is called a very busy life. We don’t have to be Wall Street wonders or business executives to have this experience. Many of us have this everyday, especially if we have a family and children. It is important to consider what to do, but don’t you feel just a little overwhelmed and a sense of not knowing? Good news. You can know.

Proverbs 14:6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

We can have knowledge and wisdom. We need understanding from God. It is why God tells us to pursue understanding.

Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

Wisdom and understanding seem to travel together. God has placed these words here so we can know how He has made things to work. God always comes through on His words to us. He keeps His promises. And there is a promise for us to get wisdom.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

When we are in these troubled times we can know that God is using it to teach us patience. Why does patience work perfection? Because when we are patient in these times we can get to that place where we know beyond any doubt that God is working and is on our side. When we get to the pure essence of that in our hearts in the face of adversity then we have made our way to the place where we trust God above everything. That trust is the basis of knowing. And we can ask God for the wisdom we need. With this wisdom and knowledge we will have understanding.

In the face of the flurry of life, we can find the way. We must ask God for wisdom and direction. He will show us His ways if we trust in Him.

Prayer
Father, we praise and exalt You. You are our Deliverer King. Come in Your kingdom today Lord. Come and bring Your wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Show us the right way to go in the midst of the flurry of life. Forgive us when we become impatient or do not trust You. We are weak vessels. Raise us up. Send today Your healing, deliverance, and overwhelming provision. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.
