New Rest
This is our first Sabbath in our “new year.” The new year is in quotes because this calendar, although widely accepted around the world, is not the calendar that is laid out in the bible. But setting that aside, we can use this as a moment to motivate ourselves to pursue afresh our Father and our relationship with Him. The point is, we can use any moment in time to help ourselves better serve our Father. Here is a scripture I would like to share to that end.
Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
May our Father, Yehuah (Lord), the King, bless Your coming Year and fill it with allblessings, spiritual and physical.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our king! We praise and bless the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us from our past hurts and our infirmities. Deliver us from the thief that has stolen so much from us. Rise up and crush those evil works yet today. We count on only You. You alone are our provider and defender. We ask You do all these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Keep Building Up
We as believers want life to go according to our hoped for plan. We may even put considerable time into creating and executing a plan that life does follow. This latter point is good. There is one point that will assist us in the outcome of our lives. That one thing is building ourselves up. Let me try to better describe this.
Sometimes we may have concerns about how something will turn out. If we dwell on the negative side of that, we become fearful and have tension. With the tension comes stress. Often the source of medical problems is stress. The more stress the more we worry the more the fear, and the cycle continues. But we can also go in the other direction with the right kind of inputs. We can make a difference in our own lives by what we say and what we think. Here is what Jude says about this point.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Paul also had some recommendations for us.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
So we see here that we can in fact have an impact on ourselves and those around us. This is what Paul meant when he quoted Moses regarding the power is in our mouth.
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
We see here that Paul used what Moses taught to apply it to our salvation when we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) died for us that we might have eternal life. Moses said this very thing about how to live life keeping the commandments of Yahuah (Lord).
What can we take from all this? When we are awake, whether early in the morning, middle of the day, evening, or middle of the night, we can have the peace that comes from calling out to God and speaking good things from our own mouths.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are King. We need you. We have been most blessed with Your presence. We praise Your name Yahuah (Lord). You alone are worthy. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. We ask these things in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Psalms 91 – A Song For The Sabbath Day.
Psalms1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of our praise. Send us today Your overwhelming blessing. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us from the evil that would steal what You have provided. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Blessings Beyond Measure
Our God truly loves us. He loves us not because we do right, but because He created us all. And because He loves us, He is constantly reaching out to us to help us follow His ways. And He provides for our every need. He is a loving Father that always has our best interest in mind.
Psalms 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
Let us give thanks to God today for His overwhelming provision.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. Thank You for Your kingdom, and for sending it to this earth. Thank You for Your overwhelming provision. Thank You for forgiving us when we fall and helping us back up. Thank You for Your healing and deliverance. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.

God Makes Us Better
My wife and I were enjoying the Sabbath by discussing scripture. She mentioned a scripture that talks about having no glory in what we can do on our own but having confidence in God.
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
In and of ourselves we can do nothing. Paul said of all of his accomplishments they were nothing compared to what God could do in him through Jesus. We have that same promise. God will help us get better if we will let Him. He loves us as our Father and wants the best for us. It may not be what we see but He sees the end from the beginning. We need to ask for His help and trust that He will give it.
Prayer
Father, we praise and exalt You. You alone are worthy to receive honor and glory. Bring Your kingdom in our lives today and everyday. Help us to be better. Forgive us as we stumble through life. Help us get back on Your path when we get off the path. Send us today Your deliverance, healing, and abundant provision. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.

Visions
For a while now I have been having what I believe are visions from God about various things in my life. One was about a problem at work and how to solve a metallurgical problem with dish soap. I tried to share it with people but went along with what others said. Today they solved a big part of it. With what? Dish soap. I mention this because there have been several that have no big significance and yet they have come to pass. Then there have been a couple that I do not understand at all, yet they had that same substance to them. The same has been true with several dreams. I have tried to think about why this is happening and what it means. It reminded me of a few scriptures.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Here in Joel it speaks of some interesting times when there is a restoration of the people of God. He blesses them with overflowing blessings and then pours out His spirit. It was said in Acts that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Shavuot was the first of these. What I see in the scriptures is that God uses repetition to teach His people over time. There is another scripture about God reveling what He is doing to His people.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Amos said that God will first reveal what He is going to do to His people before He takes action and does it. What we do not understand we can just pray for God to bless. As I try to put these pieces together there seems to be only one logical conclusion. It is spiritual as well. Prepare your garments, my brothers and sisters. God is about to pour out His Spirit once again in a way that all will know that our God reigns.
Prayer
Father, we praise and exalt You. Thank You for all You do. We want Your kingdom on the earth. Bring Your kingdom here. Forgive us when we get in the way of that because we are frail. Do it soon Lord. Do it today. Send Your healing, deliverance, and overwhelming provision. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.
