Day 7 – Yom Sha-bat

Yom Shabbat, Sivan 24, 6003 – June 9, 2018

Peaceful Rest

Resting on the Sabbath is more than sleeping. It includes letting go. We have six days to work hard and to do that which is good in the sight of God and man with regard to providing for our families. On the seventh day, YAH commands us to stop our regular work and do what is good in His sight – seeking Him, praising Him, and thinking on Him. The Sabbath is one of the moedym – high holy days – set apart by YAH.

Leviticus 23:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

So in the keeping of the commandments of our Father, we are to recognize certain days as set apart (holy). The Sabbath is one of those days. This can be a challenge for us because at least in the US, we were taught differently. But like so many other things we have been taught, we were taught the traditions of men, and not the commandments of God. Each of us has to decide whom we will listen to and serve. This has been so since the Garden. We choose. And we live with the result. Joshua was clear for himself and his family.

Joshua 24:13 And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Today, like every day, we choose whom we will serve. Our choices are made know by our words and our deeds.

Choose.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of YAH. Let Your will be done here on this earth perfectly, as it is in heaven. Send us today Your provision that it might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here, and in the air. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Restore unto Your people of all the good that was eaten or taken or held back in any way, one thousandfold and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds of mankind. We need you wo reveal to us the truth that we might walk with You in it. We love You. Be our God and we will be Your people, doing all You command. We ask all these things of You in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Sivan 17, 6003 – June 2, 2018

At Rest

What we do to be at rest seems to be different for different people. Some have some lengthy rules about it. Others qualify activity. In the end, it seems like it should have something to do with emulating our Father.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

If we are willing to stop daily and take the time we need to communicate with our Father, likely it will be easier to sort it out for ourselves. Yahuah (Lord) loves each one of us. We are called to create something special for our own lives, and we do that in Him and with Him.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done in this earth. Deliver us from the evil that tries to rule. Send us Your provision that it might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds of the people here. We need You and Your love towards the people here. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name, YAH. We ask all these things of You in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Sivan 10, 6003 – May 26, 2018

Getting To The End

We all have to hold on to what we know and what we believe. But both of these have to be subjected to our one on one relationship with our Father. We have access to our Father, in the most positive way, through the sacrifice of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) on the cross. What we have before us is a journey where we spend time with our Messiah Yeshuah and our Father. This, I believe, is one of the reasons for the Sabbath.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Therefore, we can make it to the end, if we will simply try.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here to the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here as perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people seventy times seven fold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We love love You. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God here in this earth. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things of You in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Sivan 3, 6003 – May 19, 2018

Family Time

The Sabbath Day is a great time for friends and family to spend time together. And that makes sense, right? Think about it. We have our Father in heaven that took the day off after a long work week.

It is pretty great to think we can spend time with our Father in heaven and our family.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven, so perfectly. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have transgressed or trespassed against us. Help us all to forgive those that have done harm, and please forgive us as well. Wipe away the memories of the evil done to us or buy us. Restore unto Your people seventy times seven fold all the good that has been taken, eaten, or held back from Your people in any way. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God here in the earth. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things of You in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Iyar 25, 6003 – May 12, 2018

So Much To Study

This Sabbath day I found myself reading scriptures. Frequently these days, as I look through the scriptures, I discover more and more items “hidden” in plain sight. As someone that is interested in promoting the kingdom of God, I found a great scripture this morning.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Here we can see that there is an expectation that we would turn many to righteousness. Wow. Today, let us all focus on serving our Father, and helping many find Him.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be manifested here as it is in the heaven where the sun, moon, and stars show the Creator’s glory. Send us Your provision that we might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us, and in their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. We ask that You rise up, O King, and settle these things in the earth around us.Restore unto Your people seventy times seven fold all the good that has been eaten, taken, or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your mighty name YAH. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Iyar 18, 6003 – May 5, 2018

Wellspring of Life

This morning as I was preparing to write, this phrase came to me in the title today. I found it in the scriptures.

Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.health: Heb. medicine
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Life and health are a good thing. If we keep the words of our Father in front of our eyes and in the midst of our heart, with all diligence, out will flow life.

This is good to think on this Sabbath day.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in this earth in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your perfect will be done here on the earth as it is in heaven, so beautifully. Send in now Your provision, which is always abundant. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We love You. Be with us here and show Yourself strong on our behalf. WE ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Iyar 11, 6003 – April 28, 2018

Peaceful Rest

Peaceful rest is definitely a good thing when we sleep. However, it is not just meant for our sleep. Peaceful rest is meant as a state of being, a spiritual condition between us and our Father in heaven. We get this because of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) who paid for this with His blood.

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

So we are given peace with our Father, the invisible God, redemption through the blood of the cross, even unto the forgiveness of the transgressions of the Law (sin). We are therefore most blessed among all people, because we can rest in peace.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here perfectly, just as in heaven the sun, moon, and stars have their purpose and testify of You. Send in now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. You are our King! Deliver us from the evil here, my King. Send in quickly the remaining $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here and care for Your people. Restore unto Your people seventy-fold all that has been take or held back in any way from Your people, or eaten, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Iyar 4, 6003 – April 21, 2018

Rest And Peace

We are in a day of rest today. With that day should come peace with God. Everyday we should experience peace with God because our Messiah made peace with God for us.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

On the Sabbath we rest from our ordinary work. We instead reach out to people to help them, to share our lives with them, and to be at rest with them. It is a time of joy, or should be. We all need rest from life’s great flow of business. We all need to find our way to the One that created The Sabbath is a good time to study the scriptures in greater depth, to consider His works, and to understand what He has in store for us. We know that He loves us. We know that He cares for us. We know that He has given to us life and not death. He has given us the power over darkness. We can be at peace on the Sabbath if we will only trust in our Father.

As I write these things here, it is important to at least me that those reading know that I write this not as someone that has figured out how to do things perfectly. I write as someone that sees there is a place to be at with our Father, adn I long to attain that place with Him. There are both works, and not works. Reconciling those and the scriptures that explain those things is a part of what life with God is all about for us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Heal our hearts and minds. Let Your perfect will be done here as it is in heaven. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. We want to serve You well. We want to be Your people. We want to learn to forgive people. Wipe away all the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Raise up Your people, Father, and show Yourself strong on our behalf. We long to be restored. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Restore what the worm has eaten. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to care for Your people. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). WE ask all these things in the name of YAH Yeshuah. WE ask all these things of You, Father, our King, in Your name YAH! Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Nisan 27, 6003 – April 14, 2018

Reaching For Service

Service is a gift to us from God. Let me explain. Each of us is called to do some number of things. If we think of how we were created, we would say that the Creator did it with great precision, and with intent. It would only make sense then that our calling would in some way built into us, either explicitly or implicitly. If that is true, then if we are not doing or following our calling, it is likely to feel like something is missing. It is. The doing or the following of our calling.

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

There is something to be said for the idea that our Father has called us to Him. He has placed certain gifts and callings in our lives. They may lie dormant, but they will always be there. At the appropriate time, they rise up within us and they call us to take action. The action might be very private, or it might be very public, or somewhere in between. When we step into that action of what is obvious for us to do, we find peace.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come into the hearts of mankind. Let Your will be done here as it is in heaven, perfectly and without interruption. Send us Your provision sufficient that we might bless those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil that pushes into our minds and hearts. Cleanse us from the inside out, and we will be healed. Help us to have mercy on all mankind. Restore our hearts to You. Restore one thousandfold all the good that has been eaten, taken, or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to care for mankind. Help us to find Your truth. We love You Father. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things in the name of the King. We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your mighty name YAH! We ask all these things of You in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Nisan 20, 6003 – April 7, 2018

Through The Storm

What would it be like to carry your family on a motorcycle through a flooding rain storm? This morning in prayer I saw such a task. There were moments of supernatural happenings where the bike was passing through maybe a foot to two feet of water and it would jump and glide just over the water for some distance when it needed to do so. The point is, watching this unfold, I had no tension. It was as it should be with our Father delivering me and my family through the storm while others were struggling. It was a state of resting in God’s deliverance. It reminds me of some of David’s writings.

Psalms 3:1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

During this period in David’s life, my guess is he experienced a Sabbath day. What did he do with this day? He rested in it. He had been delivered from so many situations in life that David knew Yahuah (Lord) would watch over him. David remained calm in very situations that looked very grievous. It was because he had seen the hand of God’s deliverance so many times.

Today, on this Sabbath day, let us rest in confidence, no matter the storm around us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here just as it is in the heaven with the sun, moon, and the stars. Let Your kingdom come into the hearts of mankind. Send us today Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people seven fold all the good that has been eaten, taken, or held back in any way by the enemy, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote Your kingdom and care for the sick, homeless, needy, and widows and orphans. We ask all thes things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah. We ask them of You, Father, in the name that is Your name, Yahuah. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.
