Day 7 – Yom Sha-bat

Yom Shabbat, Cheshvan 17, 6003 – October 27, 2018

The Longing

Sometimes I just marvel at the feelings and emotions our Father has built into us. How can it be that we have a longing, for example, within us for the people, places, and things that we love? And it seems only logical that these feelings and emotions must be for a purpose, that they move us toward YAH when operated correctly. Since we are created in His image and likeness, then what we feel and emote must be a very small version of what is within Him, right?

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So, if we have these complex feelings and emotions, and we were given a job to do, is it not likely that these are actually tools with which to do this job? And if “society” works toward deadening these feelings and emotions, or perhaps twisting them in some way, then whose work are they doing? And if man was created on the sixth day, then we were told what our job was, and the very next thing we saw was YAH taking a day off to spend with us. Hmmm.

Maybe there is a point to the Sabbath after all…

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in Heaven. Send us now Your provision that we might be filled and overflow to those around us. Deliver us from the evil here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all of the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore us, Father, unto You as You had meant it to be in the garden. Help us to find peace here, with joy in You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that the worm has eaten, or that has been taken or held back in any way. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Cheshvan 10, 6003 – October 20, 2018

Peace With God

We have a Father that is so wonderful to us. Personally, I am in awe at all that He has done, is doing,… and then there are all the promises of the future. The Sabbath gives us a chance to pause and just say, “Hi Dad!” If we try, we can allow ourselves to be happy in the moment, despite all that is going on around us.

Psalms 25:1 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Cheshvan 3 – October 13, 2018

Good And Bad

The Sabbath is a great time for reflection. In fact, it seems to be a part of YAH’s plan that we have a time for seeking Him and for examining our lives. As I write this, I am reminded of scriptures that would indicate that we actually examine our lives in every moment.

Joshua 1:6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

We are to continue in the meditation of the Law that we might hear and do it (Shema) and that as a result we might prosper wherever we go and have good success. If in this process we are changing course to get back on track with YAH, I suggest that this is a process of reflection, or at a minimum, it can be.

When we reflect, we need to avoid comparing ourselves to others, or even ourselves.

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

So then, we need to compare ourselves to the Law, apparently. But I suggest not that Law that was written on stone.

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

It has always been about the heart. No man, save One, has been perfect in this life. But we have a path to redemption still. It is with our Father (YAH), through the blood of His Son Yeshuah (Jesus). And He is our standard of comparison because He did have the Law truly in His heart, the way that He described to us to live. This is our goal and our focus in life at all times, and certainly on this Sabbath.

Shabbat Shalom.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in this earth in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God and overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. We love You. Restore Your people, Father, unto You. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Yom Shabbat, Tishri 26 – October 6, 2018

Secrets Of Life

This is the Sabbath that begins the weekly readings of the scriptures, for those that follow the Hebrew roots traditions. The first two chapters of Genesis contain many secrets of the universe. For example, complete and constant darkness contains the absence of life. When light was first seen, it was not created like the rest of creation. Literally, YAH (God) said, “Light be.” In every other case He said, “Let there be…” It is evening and morning because it was first dark, then God brought the Light of life. What we have been taught about time as a universal metric is completely false. Hence, our interpretation of the world is what we make of it. In logic, a false premise always leads to a true conclusion. The issue of time is perhaps the ultimate scam on mankind. Additionally, light and darkness were initially mixed together.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Today, let us spend time with the One that introduced the Light.

Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Yom Shabbat, Tishri 19 – September 29, 2018

Better Days

We are meant to have better days, I believe. We just have to accept them and then we will have them. One way to start is to honor the Sabbath when we can. When others prevent you, then you have to put it off.

Leviticus 23:1And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
4These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

Today, let us have the best day that we can have.

Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Tishri 12 – September 22, 2018

Tell The Story

There seems to be something about our actions that tells the story of God and His ways. It is as if we live it out, and through our actions certain things are set in motion in the universe. While this sounds strange to some, check out this scripture.

Nahum 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

One of those things that we are to do that has this impact is the Sabbath, I believe. We are instructed to watch over it and to keep it.

Leviticus 23:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

Today, let’s proclaim peace.

Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Tishri 5 – September 15, 2018

Spreading The Word

We are charged with spreading the word about how God is with us. We must choose to believe that He is on our side and that He will always cause us to triumph. If we can do that, we can experience our Father in a way that we were meant to experience Him. We can experience Him in truth. And, we can experience His rest. Above all else, we need His rest, both now and in eternity.

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

In verse eight it speaks of a rest that is a settling, to take rest, or to be lead to a place of rest. In verse nine it is a different word. It is the word for “Sabbath” and is translated that way in other places. What it seems to say here is that the promised land was a type of rest, but those that perished in the desert did so because they did not have the faith to trust in our Father’s deliverance. The Messiah will one day take us into the new heaven and new earth where He physically reigns, but He has not done that yet. Therefore, we live inside of the pattern of YAH (read “calendar”) that through our lives we train our hearts and minds, and the hearts and minds of others, to have the eager expectation (“hope”) of His eminent return. If we do not do this, we declare allegiance to something else, like fear, and we will live in that kingdom instead. We can choose rest and peace.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in this earth in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us Your provision that we might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for all. Restore Your people, Father, unto You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,817,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Elul 27, 6003 – September 8, 2018

Let The Rest Come

Today we celebrate the rest that our Father took after He created everything. We need that same rest here in our midst. We need to be happy and well pleased with what we have done. We need to rejoice in it. We need to be at peace. We can only do that by resting in our Father.

Psalms 3:1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

Our Father allows us to rest. He has our back covered so we can.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore Your people unto You, Father. Restore unto your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,817,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Shabbat, Elul 20, 6003 – September 1, 2018

Seek Peace

This morning as I was thinking about the Sabbath, the thought came to me of peace. We need to seek peace with all men, as much as possible.

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

In this reference, it refers to making peace or the actions that lead to harmony.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Here it speaks of aggressively pursuing that state of peace with all men. The point is, we should move towards those things that are good and true, and remain peaceful in so doing. Others may actually prevent us from remaining at peace with them at some level. By that I mean we might call upon the police to stop domestic or other violence. We might report a crazy driver on the road to the police. And we might have to stand up for truth in a court of Law, without hatred or malice in our hearts.

In the end, no man can tell us what to do. That is God’s job. He will always rise to the occasion.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are God. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, as we forgive those that trespass against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Deliver us from the evil here that would destory Your assembly of the saints. Restore Your people unto You, Father, that we might all be healed and at peace. Restore unto Your people all that the worm has eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,867,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak.

Yom Shabbat, Elul 13, 6003 – August 25, 2018

Keeping The Way Of Peace

Reflecting on the week, today I just want to place a scripture here.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.the unrighteous
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Thank you for reading this.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH. Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here as it is in heaven, so perfectly. Deliver us from the evil here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore Your people, Father, that we might live in unity. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,877,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak.
