Reasoning With Yahuah
Today I heard an interesting teaching from a rabbi. He had many interesting things to share, especially about prayer. He said that the Jewish tradition is that we are to argue with the Father and that He appreciates that. It was interesting to me and there seemed to be something interesting about what was being said. It reminded me of a scripture that I knew a bit about.
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Let me say this is new territory for me. But there does seem to be something to the idea of “talking it out” with our Father, Yahuah. My suggestion is to spend some time in prayer and see what the Father reveals.
Prayer
We love and exalt You. You are the King. We want Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Heal and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

We Keep Moving
Life has twists and turns. We are most blessed to have a Father in heaven that wants us to make it. He wants us to survive and live our lives before him in a way that reflects we are following Him. Sometimes when I think of trying to live life “right” in the face of all of the challenges that come our way, I can become afraid because I am human. For me, getting frustrated with inanimate objects is a real challenge as an example. The coffee cup that dribbles down my shirt on the way to an important meeting, the hose that leaks and shoots water in my face, or the water from the faucet in a public restroom that splashes the front of my pants – all of these seem innocent enough. Yet when they happen to me (especially if they are back to back) I am faced with a choice. Do I become frustrated or do I praise Yahuah (Lord) for the life He has given me? I want to be the one that praises His name Yahuah in that moment, and sometimes I am. But sometimes I am not. This morning as I think about these and other situations, I am trying to discern how to be the better person in this example. A scripture came to mind when I was praying to Yahuah (Lord) for His help.
Psalms 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
David knew that on his own he could not get to a place of being “right” with the Father. More importantly, David knew that if he called out to Yahuah (Lord) that Yahuah would respond and cleanse his heart. As I think on these things this morning, I can see that we have this opportunity to receive help from Yahuah (Lord) just as David did. For me, it makes me glad to know that I do not have to do this on my own.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. Thank You for being our King. Let Your kingdom come to us here today. We praise the name Yahuah. Send us today Your most abundant blessing such that it overflows us and reaches out to others. We ask You forgive us for our sins. Help us to get past the temptations in life to walk contrary to Your ways. We need Your healing touch. We need Your deliverance from the evil that would steal from us what You have provided. Come with a strong hand and outstretched arm and deliver us today. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

There Are Always Signs
When we are going through life, God never leaves us.
Deuteronomy 31:66 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Yahuah (Lord) always leads us to His ways. In the process, He let’s us know before He does something in the earth.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
This is meant to be good news. But if we do not hear what the prophets are saying, then where will we be? We will be surprised just as others are surprised.
As I think on these things today, it causes me to want God to send His prophets to us. Pray and ask God for clarity with me please. We each need direction in our own lives. We all need the mercy of Yahuah (Lord) in our lives everyday.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us Your overwhelming provision today. Forgive us our sins. Send us Your prophets and open our ears to hear. Let Yeshuah (Jesus) reveal You, Father, to us that Your people might walk in Your ways. We need You. Deliver us with a mighty hand. Show Yourself stron on our behalf. In Yeshua’s (Jesus) name.

Leading The Way
What does it take to be a leader? That depends I guess. Mostly it takes followers. When I think of the body of Messiah, I think of us all following Him to the Father, which is where He is leading us. He is out front. But as to the “church leadership” and their leading, how does that work? Well, I believe like all of us we set an example, good or bad. We hope that example is good. Paul gave these very instructions to the Philippians in his letter to them.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
But, other than by example of individual lives, what are to be the roles of the leadership? It appears they are to be supporting and building up, not out front.
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Here we see that the leaders work to perfect the saints (believers). Then, the believers do the work of the ministry and build up the body of Messiah. Interesting indeed.
Here we are today, all trying to follow what was written many years ago. For me, I only want to see the body of Messiah get on track, like right after He ascended, before I pass on. It seems that there are many good people just holding on, and I wish it were better than that. Pray with me today for our Father to give us His mercy and truth, and come powerfully once again to deliver His people, won’t you?
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are the one and only King. We love You and praise the name Yahuah (Lord) that Your greatness may be made known throughout the earth. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. We need You to do that today, Father. Forgive us our sins. Lead us. Anoint those among us that You have appointed as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to raise up Your people, that Your people might do Your work. We need Your healing today. We need You to deliver us from the evil in this world that would put us in chains of bondage. We need Your strong hand of deliverance from those that would oppress us in bondage and steal from us what You have given. Raise Your people up Yahuah (Lord). Show us Your mercy and stretch forth Your arm in deliverance today. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Zeal For Life
Recently I was considering how powerful the force is that tempts us to follow after darkness. There seems to be this strong influence that can pull at us. I tried to consider what makes it so strong. Why are we pulled in the direction of doing the wrong thing with a force that hols on to us in a way that we seem helpless to resist, while we struggle at times to believe that our Father God will keep His promises to us to give us life and meet our needs? I believe there are many answers. For me I know that if I do not stop to take time out specifically to spend alone with Yahuah (Lord) each day, then my reality changes. I lose track of the ever presence of God. I get caught up in the superficial make believe world we call reality.
David had this thought it seems as well. Unlike me, he faced enemies in this world that were trying to kill him, not just the spiritual world. He had this response.
Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
We will experience change in our life. It causes us to cry out to Yahuah (Lord). When we cry out morning, noon, and night, just as he did, we too can experience the mighty hand of deliverance from Yahuah (Lord) that David did.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are the majestic King of all. We praise the name Yahuah. Send us Your overwhelming provision today. Forgive us our sin. Deliver use from evil that wants to consume us and what You have given to us. We love You. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

When We Overcome
Believers face battles in life, as all people do. The results are not by chance. When God delivers us, and we overcome some challenge, it creates for us a testimony of God’s deliverance. This is important because we can look to these in future times of struggle.
Psalms 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
If we remember what God has already done, for us or others in times past, then we can use that to encourage ourselves that we will again be victorious and God will help us.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise and thank the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us today Your abundant provision. Heal us, and deliver us from the thieves that would steal what You have given us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Moving On
All of life moves on. This is true whether a person is a believer or not. Believers have a benefit in their lives. Thaat benefit is that God watches over us. He even watches over us while we sleep, because God does not sleep.
Psalms 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
It is good to know that Yahuah (Lord) that watches ove us never stops. He does not sleep. He keeps us at all times.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Praise the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our transgressions. Help us to overcome. Heal us and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Sure Testimonies
This morning as I was praying Psalms 119 came to mind, specifically the segment entitled Daleth. As I read this segment it reminded me how gracious our Father is toward us to teach us His ways and His commandments.
Psalms 119:DALETH.
25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Here the psalmist shows us that Yahuah (Lord) will deliver us from depression (heaviness) using His word. When we choose truth, Yahuah (Lord) strengthens our hearts. THe word testimonies here is an interesting point. These are things that have been either said or done by God. I try to think of the miracles that I have seen in my own life, or read about in scripture like the Exodus. To me, these testimonies stand as a witness to who Yahuah (Lord) is and that He will never fail us. I will meditate today on His precepts, His testimonies, and His word.
Prayer
father, we exalt You as the Most High King. We thank and praise the name Yahuah (Lord). send us this very day Your overwhelming provision. Let Your reign rain on us today. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts. Take depression from those that are depressed. Deliver us with a strong hand and an outstretched arm from those that would steal or are stealing from Your people. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Being Human, Loving God
Personally I find it difficult at times to be human. What I mean by that is I love our Father in heaven, but because of my humanity I make mistakes. It would seem that somehow we should be able not to make mistakes. I do think it is possible to get pretty good at not making mistakes. The issue we all must address is that we are and will continue to be human until our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) returns. Paul dealt with this as well.
Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
So we see that even Paul, the writer of much of the scriptures in the New Testament, had many challenges in dealing with his human nature. And James spoke of these same issues.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
We see here James acknowledges this. He even points to Elijah as having the same issues. Yet, Elijah was able to do great things, as did Paul, even though they struggled with their humanity. We are no different than them. If anything, being so far removed from the days that they both lived in close to the many repeated signs and wonders of God, it can be a greater challenge for us to break free from the cares of this life.
Yahuah (Lord) is God. We are human. Though we love Him, we will make mistakes. Being God, He calls us to return to Him, and He will turn to us.
Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
Today, do not give up. Turn to Yahuah (Lord) of all, and He will turn to you.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You for You alone are King. We ask that You hear us. We praise and thank the name Yahuah (Lord). You alone are worthy to be praised. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us when we miss the mark. Heal us and deliver us from temptations. Deliver us from the evil that would steal from us. We need You in our lives. We need Your strong hand of deliverance from the bonds in our lives. We love You. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

A Great Gift
Just about 2000 years ago a great gift was given to us. It was a repeat of an earlier story that had happened to the children of Israel. If we can learn of the first Passover, we can better understand what our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) did when He bled and died for us, and rose again that we might have eternal life. Here is that story.
There have been nine miracles in the form of plagues here in the land of Egypt. Now Moses is telling us that tonight Yahuah (Lord) is going to pass through the land to kill all the firstborn of every living thing, and also judge the gods of Egypt. We have to kill a lamb outside our house and put the blood on the door posts and across the top of the opening. Then we have to go inside and eat it with bitter herbs and unleavened bread. And we have to stay inside all night. Yahuah (Lord) will pass over any house marked with the blood. I am worried that our masters will be angry, but we have seen so many things that Yahuah (Lord) has done. I know He will protect us.
Exodus 13:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
So they did what Moses said. Tomorrow we will discuss what happened. Feel free to read ahead.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our Kin. We praise and thank the name of Yahuah (Lord). Send us Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sin. We need Your mighty hand to deliver us. We are crying out to You today. Pass through our land. Deliver us again. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
