Day 6 – Yom Shi-shi

Yom Shi-shi, Shevat 7, 6001 – January 6, 2017

Winning Over Losing

There is an old saying… sin some, lose some. Most of us would prefer winning over losing. Likely that is because it seems logical and pleasant. But I would suggest it is also because that is the way we were created. We are created as winners.

Deuteronomy 28:13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Today, when faced what seems like a losing situation, let’s move forward in the commandments of our Father Yahuah (Lord), observing them and doing them, that we might be the head and not the tail.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Wash us clean that we might be Your lights in this earth for the establishment of Your will in this earth. Heal up our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Shi-shi, Tevet 30, 6001 – December 30, 2016

Delivering Eggs

We have the opportunity to do good from time to time. Today a friend of mine had one of those opportunities. He told me about having some extra eggs from the chickens he raises. He had been wanting to contact someone from his fellowship to see if they could use them. Then that person reached out to him to try to buy some. He had a busy day, but went out of his way to deliver for free twice as many as asked for by them. The scriptures speak to this point.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

We need to be listening to help all those we can.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Send Your will to this earth. Give us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back from Your people in any way, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus).

Yom Shi-shi, Tevet 23, 6001 – December 23, 2016

Realization Comes

When we seek the Father with our whole heart, He will reveal Himself to us. Often we go about life not thinking of the impact we have on others. But the truth is, we do have impact. Of course, we want to have impact in a positive way, and we can do that by following His commandments. When we do not follow the commandments, when we sin, we also have impact but in a negative way. That is what our Messiah meant when He told us to be light to the world.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The scribes and the Pharisees righteousness was not the Law, but their traditions. Our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) regularly spoke out against their traditions, saying they kept people from the truth of the good news of God, which was God is on our side.

Today, let us consider how we might be light.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Help us learn to be Your lights here in this earth, keeping Your commandments. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds in Your mercy. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We need You now, O King! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Shi-shi, Tevet 16, 6001 – Friday, December 16, 2016

The Desire To Change

The desire to change is what must drive us to changing who we are. Is that a true statement? Perhaps I contemplate this more than other people. Is it possible that much of life is a distraction from what is really important. And what is really important is our daily consideration of walking with the Father. Maybe our original charge is still in place.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I cannot think of a place in scripture where this changed. Yes, there was the fall, but that just resulted in the charge given being more difficult. We were always meant to spend time with the Father. And we still are, I suggest. If we are not considering that path, then what are we doing? These are the things that I try to understand.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us learn to be Your lights in this world. We need You. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Help us cleanse our hearts and minds. Restore the joy of Your salvation. Restore one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus).

Yom Shi-shi, Tevet 9, 6001 – Friday, November 9, 2016

Changing Our Future

Watching the snowfall today, I thought about my past. For most of us, there is a thing or two we would change about our past – an unkind word spoken, a chance to help someone that we did not take – something that we think would have been a better choice. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the past, to date. But we can, and we are, changing the future all the time. We do that by changing what we do each moment. According to scripture, one way we create the future is by the way we speak.

Dueteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Here we see Moses says we can do God’s commands by using our mouth. If we say the commandments, we can do the commandments. God verifies this to Joshua.

Joshua 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Notice that Yahuah (Lord) is telling Joshua the he (Joshua) will make his way prosperous. Joshua does this by meditating (muttering to one’s self) continually on the Law day and night.

It may sound odd, but if we believe the scriptures to be true, then it seems that muttering God’s commandments to ourselves causes us to be prosperous and have success. I suggest the rest of the scriptures are also included.

We can change our future, and in fact, we do everyday by our words and actions.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us live as Your lights in this earth. Send us now Your overwhlming provision. Forgive us our sins (transgressions of the Law). Heal our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back from Your people in any way, and more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Shi-shi, Tevet 2, 6001 – Friday, December 2, 2016

Coming Into Understanding

This is a phrase that many including me have used from time to time. I have seen people that have heard this and get an inquisitive look on their face as to what it means. Understanding is something we are encouraged by scripture to obtain.

Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Wisdom and understanding seem to travel together often.

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

So the concept of growing is embedded in scriptures, and the need for it is embedded within us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be lights for You in this world. Send us now Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us out sins. Heal us inside and out. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Shi-shi, Kislev 24, 6001 – Friday, November 25, 2016

Always Looking For What Is Next

We have the priviledge of standing each day at the beginning of rhte next thing our Father is doing. We will likely experience what seems lik ups and downs in the routines of life. However, we have a limited view from where we stand. Our Father does not. He sees it all. And we can experience our part of it all from a point of victory or defeat. We actually choose what we will experience. We do that using our faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We need to understand from the depths of our internal being that our Father is on our side. We need to take that into consideration as we view our world. With that frame of reference, we ask our Father, “What’s next?” Then we trust that what we encounter is a part of getting us to the next thing.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us reflect Your light to this world. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Taking Back The Mind

For some time now I have been in my prayer times spending time praying for the body of believers that our minds might be cleansed and healed. Last night in several dreams I observed or was in vehicles that were on the edge of cliffs, about to go over the edge. These were the types of dreams where I could interact with them in some way. One in particular was with me in the driver’s seat in my jeep. I pulled into a parking space between two cars parked at the edge of the cliff. They were parked back safely from the edge, but as I pulled in noticed something about the car juat as I applied the brakes. It was like the tires were just slightly past the edge. It occurred to me that when I put the car in Park, it would roll that little bit from the slack of the gears, and the car would go over. As I considered what to do, I realized that even if I put it in Reverse to get away from the edge, that same slack would allow the car to go over. Then I realized if I left my foot on the brake, shifted into Reverse, and applied the gas gradually and very slowly release the brake, the slack would be taken up and the car would only back up. I did that, and backed safely away from the edge, then parked. The other primary image I remember is that of a semi-truck trailer teetering over the edge. As I thought negative thoughts, it went farther over. Then, as I thought positive thoughts, it moved back onto the ledge. Two things became clear to me from this group of dream-visions, and it aligns with scripture. We are in the driver’s seat of our own lives, and can help others, but we must take action. Our thinking place a key role in our success at not going over the edge.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Here we see our mind needs to be renewed, and when it is, the rest of us will be transformed as well. That renewal of the mind comes in several ways. It comes from our meditating on the scriptures, speaking them out loud to ourselves, and considering them in our minds.

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

One thing that came to me from these dreams and months of prayers is how much there is that is being put forward in our minds. When our minds go in a negative direction, we can use this same principle to push back and get control over the images in our head. We need to place positive images in our heads from scriptures, from our Father’s dreams and visions, and even from those tasks we feel called by the Father to perform, like our work here.

Let’s begin today to speak scriptures out loud to ourselves, changing the images in our heads to match what He has in store for us, and pray those images into being as well.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Help us transform into being the people You need as lights in this world. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision, such that we cannot contain it. Forgive us our sins. Help us to renew our minds and hearts, and heal us. Deliver us from the evil that is here. Restore unto your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and more besides, as it says in Your scriptures. Rise up, O King, and come to the strong aide of Your people yet today. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Where Are We Going?

This morning as I gazed out the window into the fall explosion of color, I waxed introspective. It was clear to me that there is so much struggle and strife in the land. From my youth I have been one to be very introspective, so today was no different. What was different was the belief and hope that life can be better. Not just in the sweet bye and bye, but now, here, even starting today. We alone are the ones that make it better, not of ourselves, but when we turn to our Master and Creator, Yahuah. A study of scripture yields an interesting set of insights. Our Father has prepared a place for us to thrive. It is called His path, His ways. Great blessings are there.

Proverbs 8:4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

We see that our Father has provided a path to follow, and that on that path are wisdom and understanding. If we follow after those things on His path, we will inherit substance. Life is good. And how are we to live? What is the purpose? To rescue as many as we can.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! You alone are our Master. Let us find and shine Your light in this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts. Cleanse our minds. Deliver us from the very present evil. Restore unto Your people substance, one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back, and more besides, that all men might see Your wisdom and Your understanding are on a path You have set up. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

What Can We Change?

For my family and I, it has been a fun and amazing week. We were gifted a stay in a condo in Florida and a trip to Disney World. There have been a couple times, including this morning, when I thought about what it would take to make this happen on a more regular basis. Or even at will. It also caused me to think about doing the work and the will of our Father. What is it that we can and should do? Likely that will involve changing something. That begs the questions of what to change and how. The what is what the Father is doing. That has never changed. He is trying to help us become the people that emulate Him, walk in His ways and commands, and walk in His image. We see this in the Messiah Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) actions and speech.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

What Yeshuah did was walk around and tell people to love mercy, keep it simple, don’t add to what the Father has already given to us, and trust that the Father is on our side, ready to heal and deliver. Then there is the how.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Again, our focus needs to be on moving this planet toward our Father’s will. In that way we unite ourselves with Him.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us act as You act. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and more besides. Rise up, O King, and show Yourself strong on our behalf. Show us a sign for good that all men might know that Yahuah alone has done this. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
