Day 4 – Yom Re-vi-i

Yom R’vi’i, Av 13, 6004 – July 17, 2019

Standing Ground

Spiritual warfare can come in many forms in real life. It can be those times that we have all experienced when there is intense prayer. Sometimes spiritual warfare is just living life. And then there are times when it is standing our ground in the face of tremendous pressure for what is right. I heard of one such incident recently. A friend of mine had the legal teams of some very large companies attempting to get him and his friends to give them something without all the necessary legal paperwork in place. They refused. Turns out one of the companies had an employee that thought he and his friends would cave in. When they did not, it became obvious that this person had overstepped. Not sure what his organization did about him. But my friend actually went through some pretty tough physical health struggles and they stood their ground.

What was the struggle, really. Right versus wrong, good versus evil, YAH versus the insignificant one… I am not saying that the people were evil, wrong, etc. I am saying the action they were trying to take was wrong. We are called to always stand for the right thing. And in the end, who prevails? In the end, YAH will always prevail.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Av 6, 6004 – July 10, 2019

Resisting Evil

Sometimes the spiritual warfare is simple. We have instructions like this from scripture.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

An issue can be when we are stuck in temptation, we may not be able to resist alone. That is a good time to cry out to our Father, both in our native tongue and in the spirit.

Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Tammuz 29, 6004 – July 3, 2019

Balancing The Balance

Thinking about spiritual warfare this morning, my mind wants to know more. It seems that just making it through a day alive should be a warfare victory all by itself. I believe it is. In those moments, we must balance all that is going on that troubles us against what we know about God. David this well.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

David was praying about someone close to him that had turned against him. But the important point is, even in his time of trouble, he balanced it against what he know of God. He knew that he need only continue to hang on and pray, and watch the deliverance of God against his enemies.

Restore Your people unto You, Father, and destroy those that would turn against us. Restore unto Your people all the goods and monies that have been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father King, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Tammuz 22, 6004 – June 26, 2019

Deciding Is The Beginning

We are pretty constantly faced with choices in our life. When we want to undertake a substantial change in our life, that takes a decision. That decision is the beginning. We select change, or not. Change for the better, and by better I mean YAH’s ways, is a good thing. But it can be challenging because it is different and unknown. Here is one scripture that helps me to understand that change is good and actually a part of spiritual warfare.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

Today, let us select change to move more in the way that YAH has set before us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overflowing provision that we might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Show us a sign for good, that all may know that You alone have done this. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah. We ask all these things of You Father, our King, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Tammuz 15, 6004 – June 19, 2019

Head Down, Pressing Forward!

Sometimes I think of life as a cartoon image. A warrior crouches behind a shield as arrows and flames blow around the edges unable to harm the warrior – this is the image I “see” of life’s battles. And it is not terribly dissimilar from the images painted by scripture.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And so, we press forward, head down behind the shield.

Restore unto Your people one thousand fold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides, the more besides. We ask all these things of You father King in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Tammuz 8, 6004 – June 12, 2019

Imitating The Savior

Often we learn by watching. We learn by watching others, for example. This is one way that parents pass down their “family traditions” to their generations. Good or bad, we learn by watching others. We can also visualize stories of others to the same end. One of our best examples in that regard is our Messiah Yeshuah.

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

If we will commit ourselves to trying to be imitators of the Messiah, then we will overcome the wiles of the enemy.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Let us also do as Paul did.

Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things in of Your Father, our King, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiahc. Amen and Amen and Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Tammuz 1, 6004 – June 5, 2019

No Weapon

It is interesting how the promises of God work together in scripture. This morning I was thinking about a particular promise.

Isaiah 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Isaiah is referring to a time to come when the Redeemer comes. He also speaks of how the audience was estranged from God at one point, but will not be in the future. This promise (from the “OLD TESTAMENT”) is talking not only about our Messiah, Yeshuah. It also speaks of the righteousness of God. We get there through yielding to Yeshuah first. Then we always make course corrections to get back to our Father and His path. We must always be willing to return.

2 Chronicles 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father King, we ask in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Sivan 23, 6004 – May 29, 2019

Standing

What do we do when there seems to be nothing left that we can do?

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Let Your kingdom come here and let Your will be done here on earth as it is in heave. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us now from the evil here. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides, the more besides. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach, asking them of You Father, our King. Amen and Amen. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Sivan 16, 6004 – May 22, 2019

Truth And Freedom

Scriptures present us with an interesting idea to address. Freedom is obtained only through an intimate relationship with truth. We are asked to believe and to know the truth.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The first requirement is believing on Him (Yeshuah) as the One sent from the Father. Then we must believe He only did and said what He saw the Father do or heard Him say. Once we accept these things, we can know the truth. This word for know is one of intimate knowledge. With the intimate knowledge of the truth, we can be free.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people – lands, gold, silver, precious jewels, families, and friends – and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father King, and we ask them in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.

Yom R’vi’i, Sivan 9, 6004 – May 15, 2019

Doing My Job

Each of us has a task to perform. Each of us has our own relationship with God. When we each do our task we are actually overcoming evil. When I do my job, I am overcoming evil. Spiritual warfare can be as simple as doing our job. We are all called to do something.

Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Today, let’s each do our part that we might be able to not only be saved, but cause those around us to be saved as well.

Restore unto Your people the great prosperity that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. The more besides, Father. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah Hamashiach. We ask all these things of You, Father King. We need You, we love You. Please raise us up know, and shine Your light. Amen and Amen. Amen.
