Psalm 132

A Song of degrees.
1 LORD, remember David,
And all his afflictions:
2 How he sware unto the LORD,
And vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house,
Nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
5 Until I find out a place for the LORD,
An habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah:
We found it in the fields of the wood.
7 We will go into his tabernacles:
We will worship at his footstool.
8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest;
Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness;
And let thy saints shout for joy.
10 For thy servant David’s sake
Turn not away the face of thine anointed.
11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David;
He will not turn from it;
Of the fruit of thy body
Will I set upon thy throne.
12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them,
Their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion;
He hath desired it for his habitation.
14 This is my rest for ever:
Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision:
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation:
And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 There will I make the horn of David to bud:
I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame:
But upon himself shall his crown flourish.

Psalm 125

1 They that trust in the LORD
Shall be as mount Zion,
Which cannot be removed,
But abideth for ever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
So the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous;
Lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4 Do good, O LORD,
Unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity:
But peace shall be upon Israel.

Powering Through

Determination to move forward is sometimes all you have. The good news is, in those moments, that is all it takes. It is that predetermined desire to power through it all that can set you free.

Deuteronomy 30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
2 and shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 and the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

10 if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

Heads Up!

Sometimes we are so thirsty we put our face down into the water for a cool drink. That is okay. But maybe it is better to be the one that lifts the water to the face and watch.

Judges 7:5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
6 And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
7 And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.

Re-Battling

At this writing I am understanding that it is possible for us to enter into challenging situations where we think we took some action and we did not. This happened for me and I was trying to determine how that happened. What I am experiencing I believe is a reset of my relating to my context because I am resetting the context. I remember making some noted with the date as written above. My mind “checked that off” as then having completed my blog. Yet, that was not the case. My mind acted as if it was already done. Re-battling to me in this case means to address this phenomena of thought. I need to be aware of the context setting my brain is making, and be ready to battle actually when the time arises. Always be prepared for what YAH is doing in the moment.

Proverbs 4:3 For I was my father’s son,
Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said unto me,
Let thine heart retain my words:
Keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding:
Forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Climbing Out

In aviation there is something that was referred to when I was younger as a death spiral, probably as a term coming from the film industry. It was when the old WW2 planes would get shot and start to nose dive, spinning on the way down to the ultimate crash. We called this the death spiral, although that may or may not have been what it was called in real life. In real life, however, I have been a person and seen others that get into this sort of “death spiral” as they cooperate with the negativity that pulls them down. As believers, we have a different way out through spiritual warfare. Our enemy is trying to convince us that we are destined for bad things, but that is not the message that YAH has always given. He is with us if we will believe in Him. This was the message to Joshua, and it is ht message to us all.

Joshua 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

No man can open and Guardians at the door inside and out destroy all that would attempt to pursue. The whirlwind spirits blow all the papers around and they cannot alight. There is much confusion in the minds of those against me. I am free, and have great favor with the judge. Silver and gold coins flow to me. I love You. I love You. I love You. Best Efforts

When we do our spiritual warfare, we must give it our best efforts. We are not perfect, nor will we be before the return of the Messiah. That leaves us with doing our best. And our Father only expects us to make that effort with the intent to get better. This is what we are meant to accomplish and do.

Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength,
Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust;
Who subdueth my people under me.
3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him!
Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down:
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Reasonable Warfare

Believers have a chance that others do not have. That chance is to make a difference in the lives of themselves, family and friends. Will they take that chance is an important decision that each believer – each of us – gets to make. That attempt to make a difference is what matters most. And secondly, staying with that attempt to see it through is also a key. Stay with it O friends of the King.

Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Prepping For Battle

In my walk with YAH I have discovered that the best time to prep for battle was a while back. Short of that, today is good. The worst time to prep for battle is when you are actually in an intense version of that battle. It seems that likely we are “in the battle” at all times. However, there are times when we experience something more aggressive that is in this reality demanding that we deal with it at that moment. It is this latter situation that I am speaking to. If we are in that situation, yes we will have to continue to develop our skills quite immediately. But when possible, do it ahead of time.

Uphill Moving

This morning I had a view in my mind of moving uphill. Somehow it was a part of a battle. Either we were moving uphill as and engaged in a battle or the moving uphill was the battle. Either way we were on a successful path. And that is what I noticed. The feeling of winning, not the feeling of expecting to lose. And that is because of who we are. We are the winners.

Joshua 1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
