Building Peace

Today there have been many challenges. As I think of building up the body today, there is one scripture that immediately came to mind. It is a short scripture, and it is one of the chants that the children of Israel would repeat on there journey to Jerusalem three times a year to keep the Feasts.

Psalms 133
A Song of degrees of David.
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

The blessing is life for evermore.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You, our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. Please do not forget us, Father, for we need You now more than ever. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Building Is A Family Tradition

Our brother was a carpenter. Our Father could build anything and everything. Come to thnk of it, He did! It only stands to reason that we, too, would be builders. It is in our genes. In fact, we know that is true.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

So, we are made to be like our Father, who builds and built everything. Therefore, it is only logical that one of our tasks would be to build. And the scriptures teach us that we should build – “edify” – one another.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

And, how is this building accomplished?

Proverbs 24:3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

We see here not only how to build the house, but how to furnish it as well. Let us use these same “how-to’s” to build one another up.

Prayer
Father, we praise You. You alone are King. We love and appreciate You for who You are and all You have done for us. Praise the name Yahuah! We long for Your kingdom, Father. Send us know Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us for our sins. Heal us from the inside, and deliver us from the thief and destroyer. We are weak, my Father. We need Your touch. We need Your help. Come to us quickly. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Shedding The Old Man To Build The New One

Often as believers we are faced with things we need to change in our lives. Depending on how we were raised it is possible for us to be very harsh on ourselves for no being perfect. I have a friend that tells me when he was younger his earthly father never really praised him for anything. His father was always trying to get him to do better. The result was my friend spent his adult life feeling never good enough. But it is not that way with our heavenly Father. He is always there to encourage us to improve and get better. He is there to help us defeat our faults.

Dueteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Today, let us remember whom we serve, and that our Father, Yahuah (Lord), is on our side.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We need Your kingdom. Bless the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. You alone are worthy to be praised. Heal up our hearts and minds. deliver us from the evil that steals from us. restore to us one hundred times one hundred fold, and come swiftly to destroy the works of our enemies against us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Construction And Repair

Our calling as believers, or at least some portion of our calling, involves building up. That building up is for ourselves and for those around us that need our help. If we can be strong in our belief in our Father and His desire to help us, we can not only survive but thrive in the process. Sometimes we build new areas in our lives. New abilities, new opportunities, new investigations into what our individualized purpose is for God all can emerge as we walk with the Father.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

We also know that sometimes we have to do repair work. What does that mean? Well, we make mistakes, we sin, and that results in a weakness in our building, our structure. We have to repair that location. While that may sound like a daunting task, it is more straight forward than we might think. We need only turn back to the Father, which has been the good news and the message, always.

Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

Today we can both take on new construction and repair with the confidence of knowing that our Father, Yahuah (Lord), loves us and is on our side.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We long for Your kingdom here on the earth. Bless the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Heal us up from the inside. Deliver us from the thief that continues to steal all that You have provided. Restore to us one hundred times one hundred fold that which has been stolen and destroyed. Rise up Mighty King, and free Your people! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

More Of The New

It is easy for us as humans and believers to get caught up in our routines. This is not necessarily bad if we have good routines. Good or bad, our attitude towards our day can be one of a sense of complacency, or worse, drugery. We can find ourselves thinking and/or saying “more of the same” or some variation of that line of thinking. However, we need to soften our hearts to experience what our Father intends.

Mark 6:49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

It is good to remember to stop and consider all that God is doing in our lives at every moment, lest we be like the 12 and have our hearts hardened though we have witnessed many miracles.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. You alone make the miracles of our lives happen every day. We love and appreciate all You have done. We long for Your kingdom here. Send us Your overwhelming abundant provision. We need Your help. Forgive us our sins. Heal us, and deliver us from the evil that is stealing and destroying now. Raise up Your people from the ashes and place us in positions of prominence that we might speak with those in authority. We want to be a sign for good for Your kingdom. We ask all these things in the name of the Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Today Is The Day

Although life can have a tendency to throw us a curve, we still have to learn to hit the curve ball. By that I mean we have to not let our circumstances rule our minds. We must decide and take control of our minds to believe that God is on our side. We can do this if we will continue to read scriptures, pray, and praise our Father.

Psalms 107:1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Today, let us strive to always believe, and sing songs to Yahuah (Lord).

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom be among us. Send us Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us for our sins. Heal us and deliver us in such a mighty way that all men might know that it is You alone Yahuah (Lord) that has done this. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Media For Change

We are in a constant state of change. That does not mean that everything in our lives changes at all times. What it does mean is that those areas of our lives that do not line up with what is in scripture, that is subject to change. We are called upon to be more like our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). He only did what He saw the Father doing.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Here we see that Yeshuah (Jesus) only did what the Father did. These are detailed in scripture. God never changes, so what He does is what He has always done. Yeshuah does likewise.

Hebrews 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Therefore, those things that remain in us that do not align with scripture, we need to change. Likely we cannot do that alone. But if we cry out to Yahuah (Lord), He will change us from the inside out.

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Today, let’s call out to the Father for help in changing that media within us that needs changing – our hearts and minds. He will help us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of all praise. Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom reign in the earth! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil that has stolen and is stealing from us. Destroy this work and return what has been stolen one hundred times one hundred fold. Come quickly Yahuah. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Wall Repairs

We are God’s work in this earth, the wall and the gates to His kingdom. Scriptures speak of us as ambassadors.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Here we see a couple very important points. First is, we are ambassadors for our Messiah. We are His representatives, His mouthpiece. People watch and listen to us to see if we do and say the things the scriptures say. But there is another important point here. We see we are to be reconciled to God.

Paul is encouraging us to get right with God. He even tells us the way that is accomplished. It is through the righteousness we get from our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). He was made sin for us, but He knew know sin. In a way, we traded places. Because of the work He did at the cross, He got our sin and we got His righteousness before our Father, Yahuah. It was the deal of the century for us.

Our job today, and likely everyday, is to keep working at walking in God’s ways. We need to continue to find the path that Yahuah (Lord) put before us. When we stumble we put bad bricks in the wall, or put them in the wall badly. We fix those bad spots in the wall by repenting, by turning back to Yahuah and He will turn to us.

Today, let’s all continue to repair our walls, returning to God for forgiveness and direction.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We love and appreciate You, for You have done so much for us. We need Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up the broken walls in our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil that has stolen and is stealing from us. Come in Your power and might, and crush the works of the enemy. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Waking Up To Miracles

Recently I heard someone recount the story of the 1980 US Hockey Team. It was truly an amazing story about a leader’s commitment to being someone that made a difference. There are a number of stories like this throughout history where an individual knew they were meant to do something special, and they never gave up on that something special. In the end they helped many, which in turn helped them. David’s story is one such story. He faced Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46 This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.
48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

David knew His God, Yahuah (Lord), would not turn away from the fight. He knew His God would win. In the end, David knocked Goliath out with a pebble, and then killed him with his own sword. The very thing that he meant to kill David with became the tool of his own destruction.

This morning I woke up realizing that I know an elderly widow, who is on the verge of having her family home taken by the bank, to keep her home. I tried to go back to sleep, but could not. Perhaps today I help her to become David, slaying the Goliath, the bank. Keep her in your prayers. Her name is Helen.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are the One True King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom and will come to this earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us up from the inside. Deliver us from the evil that steals and destroys. Today, deliver Helen from the evil of the financial matrix. Help us, O King; rise up with anger in Your nostrils and deliver Your people from the thief that has stolen and is stealing from Your people. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Doing The Work

It seems all good things in life require effort. We look at a persons accumulated wealth, and we wonder why they were so lucky. Likely it was not luck. Likely they built themselves up to that spot. They made it possible for them to have that wealth. How did that happen? They started small, building a strong foundation. They laid a foundation of solid principles of earning and spending, paying attention to what was coming in and what was going out. This same thing can be said of our spiritual walk with God. We must watch over what comes in to our hearts and minds.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Here we see a list of things to alllow into our minds. What comes in becomes a part of us.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:…

Then we impact our ability to take what we have placed into our hearts and minds, and repeat it out loud. This provides us the ability to do the good work.

Deuteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

We know this apples to our spiritual walk as well as keeping Yahuah’s (Lord’s) commandments. How can we know this? Paul told us it is the way to wholeness (salvation).

Romans 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Finally, we must address how we apply this law. Scripture gives us several ways. Prayer in the Spirit is one way.

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Another is through praise and worship and just sound speach.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Today, let us set about transforming ourselves and others through our thoughts and through our speech. We CAN change the world!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We long for Your kingdom. Praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds and help us to put in only the good. Let our speech be only those things You would say. Deliver us from the thief that is stealing and has stolen from us. We need Your help. We cry to You for our Shalom, our peace in all things. Rise up O King, and deliver Your people from the evil that steals and destroys. Grind that work to powder and bring it to nothing. Let their be a resounding in the dwellings of Your people that victory has come and they are free. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
