Build Till You Are Done

This writing is pretty special for me. Much has been happening in my life. So much so that I was very far behind with my writing. As of now, I am caught up, and it feels good. I just want to offer some praise to our Father as a result.

Psalms 108:1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

It is good to serve the living God.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Bless the name Yahuah! Send us your abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds and deliver us. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred more times than in the Exodus. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

What Is The Mortar?

As I was thinking about the concept of edification today, as usual, a brick wall came to mind. But in thinking of that brick wall, I tried to meditate on the vision of it. What showed up for me was – the mortar. True, the bricks are solid, and they are long last, hard as many stones. But without the mortar, a stack of bricks is easily tumbled because they are just that – a stack of individual bricks. Such a stack is somewhat easily tumbled. But add mortar – well now – they become a single solid piece. I thought about this in relation to the walk we have as believers. What is the mortar there?

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Therefore, let us look to our Father to hold us together, and cry out to Him when we feel there is a strain on the wall.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be Your light! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us inwardly, that we might be healed outwardly. Deliver us from evil. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds beyond, all that has been taken or held back, such that all men know that You alone have done this. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Start Fresh

When we have a task to perform we need to always try to “start fresh.” By that I mean, do not drag our old thoughts and perceptions into the task. It does not matter if the task is the same task we have done a hundred times, or that we will have to do a hundred more times. We need to start new, with new excitement, new enthusiasm, and new drive to get complete. There is a reason for this approach. We find it in scriptures.

Lamentations 3:22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

We can find new hope if we take this approach.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us serve You alone, Father. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts, and help us to guard them. Deliver us from the evil. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

One More Brick

If we try, we can build the walls around our city to keep it safe. The city I speak about is not a group of dwellings, but rather our hearts and minds. We need to guard all we have been given by the new life we have been granted through our Messiah.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

So we then must remember to guard our hearts and minds. We build that protection with the scriptures through reading and meditation.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us show You to the world. Send us Your provision now. Forgive us our sins. Deliver us from the evil one, Father, for he tries to devour us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Change Is Building

As I thought about how resistant people can be to change, something occurred to me. When we change, we are building something new. Whether good or bad, we are in fact building something. What it turns out to be depends on many things, especially the materials we use. Here are some suggestions.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Let’s build each other up.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Bless the name Yahuah! We want to be Your lights in the earth. Give us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Restore unto Your people their hearts, minds, their very lives and substance. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

A Stable Structure

As we build our lives, we find ourselves eventually with more years behind us than in front of us. As I thought about the concept of our life as a building this morning, one thing stood out. The foundation of a building is very important. That is true in our spiritual lives as well. We need a good foundation to build upon.

Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Our Father is building us into a temple individually and collectively in which He dwells. We should use scripture, all scripture, to help ascertain a strong foundation.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Help us to be Your light in this world. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Restore unto your people hope. Help us renew our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the destroyer. Restore unto Your people all that has been taken or held back in any way, and multiply that a thousand times a thousand. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Stonewall!

In the movie, Facing the Giants, The coach asks the team to build a stone wall. He was referencing a time in the bible when the biblical charaters built a stone wall to defend the city.

Nehimiah 4:17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

So we see that while we work on preparations for a master defense, we stand at the ready to fight off specific local attacks. In this way we are both builders of our faith and spiritual warriors for the faith.

Let us build a stone wall around our heart, minds, homes, and families, always ready to fight of any individual attack.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be the Your light in this world. Send us now Your overwhelming provision such that there is no thing for the kingdom we cannot afford to pursue, as well as our own needs. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the one that kills, steals, and destroys. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds of hundreds that which has been taken, held back, or in any way not delivered to Your people. Make this outpouring greater than ever, both in revival and in physical goods. Rise up, my King! Rise up, O King, and let it be so! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Check The Building

When we think about our walk with the Father, we can compare it to building a building. Yeshuah (Jesus) did this several times.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

How important is it to keep in line with the commandments of God? Seems very important, right?

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

So, as we are walking out our walk, we need to always do a building check. Are we building the right thing at the right time in the right place, and are we committed to finish?

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us bring Your kingdom here. Send us now Your overwhelming, overflowing abundant provision. Forgive us our transgressions of the Law. Heal up our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people all that has taken or held back one hundred times one hundredfold, and hundreds of hundreds. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

No Strange Fire

There is a record in scripture of two of the sons of Aaron approaching the alter with “strange fire” resulting in their death. For years I have read this passage with the RCA dog look, wondering what in the world it was talking about. But over time I have learned about the patterns that Yahuah (Lord) has placed in creation.

Leviticus 1:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.
2 And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

At the same time I have watched a friend of mine that made a creation that others wanted to promote, But as the promoted it they disected it. Then they reassembled it differently, and added things from elsewhere. The end result? Well, they created something, and it did in some ways resemble the original. But in many ways it did not, and some ways it seemed foreign. So what am I saying here?

When something is created with intent, it has that very intent in its make-up, its DNA. It is a mark from the one that made it. When we try to change the original purpose and design by substituting parts at less than a fundamental level, we create something that is misguided and misdirected. It is dysfunctional at best. And sadly it impacts others.

So let us not go down that road. Let us not be those that mix many things. Let us stay true to the course.

Prayer
Father we exalt You. You are our King! Bless the name Yahuah! We need Your kingdom here. Send us Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us from the inside. Deliver us from evil. Restore unto Your people more that in the Exodus. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Building From Something

We all have a past. We build upon that past, something good or something not so good. If the past is not so good, we may have to start fresh. The important thing is we all get to build better in the future. But we must build. We must do something actively if we are to change the future to be different from the past. Life can be improved. We can always get closer to our Father. But we need to move to make that happen. One of the ways we can do this is through meditation.

Psalms 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

By talking to ourselves out loud – meditation – we can help ourselves build in the right direction.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Bless the name Yahuah! Let us be Your servants in the earth, bringing Your kingdom here. Send us Your overwhelming provision now. Forgive us our sins. Heal us inside and outside. Deliver us from the one that steals and destroys. Restore unto us one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back. Give us insight and wisdom to prosper above what any could imagine. Come quickly. We ask these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
