Psalm 133 A Song of Degrees
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard,
Even Aaron’s beard: That went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon,
And as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion:
For there the LORD commanded the blessing,
Even life for evermore.

Being Helpful

We have the choice of being helpful or not. Clearly, for me, I choose to be helpful. I want to make the best of the opportunities that YAH has given to me. This includes helping others. This does not include developing my own independent plans and then imposing them on others. It is about taking my journey and sharing that with others. I share mine with you.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Build A Brother

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Fear No Evil

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Learning To Trust

How often have I said I trust YAH? How often have I dais I believe in YAH? Often on both counts have I said these things. And yet, in the moment, I am still learning to hear, trust, and believe. I could get down on myself. Or I can choose to believe that I am getting better and better. I choose the latter because I know that YAH is working it out in me.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

With You

It seems to me that the easiest way for me to have support of others is to support others. Not that a person should abandon their own person, but that others also need support. To this end there is a balance we need to strike in becoming that person that we need to become. At least I can say that this is true for me. I strive to be the best me I can possibly be. And I make that a target for me personally everyday.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

We Hold Each Other

As we move through our walks in life, we are blessed for many reasons. On of those reasons is we have each other. We have the ability to hold each other very close and make a difference in each others lives. It is no small thing to be able to impact another life for good. We get that opportunity here. I am so thankful that I get that opportunity. YAH is sooo good to me in that regard. Praise YAH.

Proverbs 22:9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed;
For he giveth of his bread to the poor.
10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out;
Yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
11 He that loveth pureness of heart,
For the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.
12 The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge,
And he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.

With Everyone

Life is so good, but even better when we can truly be together. By together I mean united in intent and belief. That can be a challenge to do between people. I have found that it can be difficult enough to do just within ourself. For me it takes concerted effort to change the nature of who I am and the resulting destination. Imagine many people like that and then they are trying to “be together” as one people. But in YAH this is possible, I am sure of it.

Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Pulling Force

We were made to pull together. We can pull alone if we must, but we were made to pull together.

Together Again

Sometimes we need to re-unite with our brethren to make the best of this life.

Genesis 45:1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. 3And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. 4And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. 5Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
