Brave Enough To Believe

Each day when we wake we have a moment to engage our minds with our hearts to decide what we will believe today. Not some Sunday morning feel good speech, not some pep rally deliverance of how great life is, just that moment alone with our Father. We can capture that moment and begin with faith, believing that He loves us. Or we can choose to magnify the world around us and believe our circumstances more than we believe our Father loves us. When we say it like that, the choice seems obvious, right? But it is in those weaker moments that we make so many of the decisions that rule our lives. But we can win in those moments if we are prepared ahead of time to remember. How can we do this? It must be a part of us. In fact, we need to have a flow of good coming out of us. But where would it come from in these times of need? It begins with the new covenant.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

We see that the New Covenant is the Law, the Torah, written on our hearts and minds. Paul affirms this.

Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

So we know that the Torah in our hearts is the New Covenant. If we can believe, and then trust, the our Father Yahuah (Lord) will not leave us, we can act on that belief and call out to Him to show us truth.

Jeremiah 33:2 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: 3Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Today, we can add to our faith, building upon what has been know. We can build something better. We can build within us the belief and trust that our Father will never leave or forsake us. In those moments when we are not completely alert, our hearts and minds can drive us to speak the truth, calling upon Yahuah (Lord) our Father in the name of our Messiah Yeshua, knowing that He hears and provides.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We need Your love in our lives. We need Your kingdom. We praise Your name Yahuah (Lord). Send us today Your overwhelming provision in full manifestation that we might bless Your holy name. Forgive us for our sins. We need Your help and Your healing. We need deliverance from those that would take away Your people and Your name and what You have given us. Judge the earth today with righteousness. Set things right today. Straighten out what is crooked. Put completion in our lives today. We ask these things in the name of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Amen.

What Is My Mission?

This morning as I looked out into our forest from my kitchen table I was assessing the damage from the overnight storms we experienced. It was good to fall asleep with the rainstorm in the back ground. Some people cannot sleep in a storm for fear of being harmed. I have been fortunate to take comfort in the scriptures.

Psalms 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

This morning, I pondered the question in the title here. What is my mission? What is it that our Father has given me to do? This is a question that we all ask ourselves from time to time. There are some answers in scripture.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Yeshua (Jesus) was clear that we would do what He did. He was also clear that we would do more in addition to what He did. But it would seem that all begins with prayer, as we see in verses 13 and 14. Our mission is found by asking the Father in prayer what He wants us to do. Then we ask in prayer for it to be done. Then we give thanks, knowing it will come to pass.

Today we can be encouraged because we have the Creator of the universe, Yahuah shavuot (Lord of hosts), on our side!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are King. We praise the name Yahuah, our King. Send us today Your overwhelming blessing. Forgive us for our sins. Heal us. Deliver us from those that would do us harm. Do not let the evil take from us what You alone have provided. You are our Delivering King. Help us to heal those around us. We ask these thing in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

When The Days Get Away

Today has been a challenge. The time started at lightning speed this morning and has not stopped. When days happen like this it is a bit of a struggle. Although I prayed many times throughout the day, I missed my early morning time of prayer and reading, plus writing. But our Father is good. Overall it has been a good day. I want to leave you with a scripture of encouragement.

Psalms 143:1 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. Let Your kingdom reign in the earth. We praise the name of Yahuah. We magnify You alone. Send us Your overwhelming abundant provision today. Heal us. Deliver us from the evil that tries to oppress us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Memorials Are Important

Today in America we celebrate a day that memorializes all of those that died while serving in the military. For many of us, it is also for those that made it through. It is good to remember those that sacrifice for us. The idea of a memorial actually is a scriptural one. We have a record of it in the Exodus when Yahuah (Lord) delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. There are some interesting things said about this memorial.

Exodus 13:5 And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.
6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord.
7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.
8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.
10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

We see here that the keeping of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (and the Passover the day before) places a memorial between the eyes (on the forehead) and a sign (or memorial) on the back of the hand. In essence, keeping this Feast of Yahuah (Lord) marks us in the spiritual realm.

So we see memorials are a long standing tradition to those that believe the scriptures to be true. May God bless those that served.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord) and thank the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us when for our sins, for against You only do we sin. We have been blinded. Open our eyes. Help to see and receive the truth of Your scriptures. Heal our hearts and minds. Deliver us from temptation and darkness. Deliver us from those that would steal from Your people. Deliver us with an outstretched arm and strong hand. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Psalms 23

This day was indeed busy. Here is a comforting psalm for such days.

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Thank You Yahuah, that You never forget us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. Thank You for being our King. You alone are worthy of all praise. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us Your abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. We transgress Your commandments, though we do not want to do that. Heal us and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Our God Provides

Today I was looking into the scriptures and was reminded of the story of Abraham offering up his son. At the last moment, our Father provided a ram for a sacrifice instead. Today, we live this out at the moment we become believers. I would suggest we live it out every day after that as well. Our God, Yahuah (Lord), has provided the sacrifice of His Son, Yeshua (Jesus) as that replacement for us. We deserve death, yet we have life. It is because of the work of our Father through the death and resurrection of His ultimate Passover Lamb, Yeshua (Jesus). We are passed over when we deserve death and evil. We have a substitute.

Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah–jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

All nations are blessed because of the faith of Abraham.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of all praise. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord)! Send now Your abundant provision. Let it be such provision that we cannot contain it, and that it overflows. Forgive us our sins. Help us to find our way to Your paths. Turn again to us. heal us. Deliver us from temptations. Deliver us from evil that would take from us what You have provided. Crush the evil and drive it back. Deliver us with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. In Yeshua’s (Jesus) name. Amen.

We Can Move Forward

We are truly a blessed people. We have a Father in heaven that is perfect in every way. He gives to us many good things in this life. It is what any good father would do. This includes the ability to know and to understand, which is important for us to make it through this world. Paul mentioned this in his writings, to offer us encouragement.

Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

We are the body of our Messiah here on earth. We are raised from the death of sin. When we are faced with challenges from our enemy, we know that God is with us to provide the victory.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your overwhelming provision. We long to serve You. Forgive us when we fail, when we sin. Heal and deliver us. Show Yourself strong on our behalf. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

The Turning Heart

This morning as I thought about how we as believers transition more each day toward being like our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). We are called to be like Him, and yet we are faced with our own humanity that holds us back. It is like being in a wrestling match with ourselves. Yet our Father will help us, even help us turn toward Him.

Luke 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

We see here there are two types of hearts that cry out to God, or at least two types. It is the humble and contrite heart that that Yahuah (Lord) is looking for because that heart knows it has done wrong and wants desperately to turn to Him. And God will always respond to that humble heart.

Psalms 42

Psalms 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8 Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Prayer
Father, we exalt you. We praise the name Yahuah. Forgive us when we stumble. Heal us and deliver us from the evil around us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

God With Us

Most people we know (even those that do not believe) would say that if the superheroes of the comic strips existed, they would definitely want them to be our friends. I know people that get very caught up in superheroes. Perhaps it is because inside of us we really want to believe that there is powerful help to make things right in our lives. Good news. There is!

Psalms 98:1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Here we see that the One that created the earth will come to judge it with righteousness and His people with prosperity. He is in the business of setting things right according to His truth and mercy. But if we translate verses two and three, we see something very interesting that would indicate that this blessing is for us. Let me do that here.

Psalms 98:2 Yahuah hath made known his Yashuah: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen Yashuah of our Elohim.

This becomes very interesting to us because the word for salvation is “Yashuah” which is the name of our Messiah Yashuah (Jesus)! We can have One far greater than all superheroes together on our side, judging the earth and the people to set things right for our good and our prosperity!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our Great King! Praise the name Yahuah! Thanks to our King Yahuah! Send us today, even this morning, even now, Your overwhelming abundant provision. Judge us in prosperity. Let the whole world see Your righteousness in Yashuah. Praise Yahuah! Forgive us our sins. Heal those of us with broken hearts and with pains from the past. Deliver us from the evil and darkness that would steal from us. Judge the evil and darkness today, setting things right. Judge us with prosperity. Show Yashuah to the world through us that all men might know that You alone are Yahuah of hosts! In Yashuah’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
