Day 2 – Yom She-ni

Yom Sheni, Tishri 21, 6003 – October 1, 2018

God Delivers

This morning I was directed to read the story of Ruth. It reminded me of how we can feel alone and abandoned, and that the whole world is caving in on us.

Ruth 1:1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth–lehem–judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth–lehem–judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
3 And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

But when the faith of just one person rises up, God hears.

Ruth 1:14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.
15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
16 And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

And what can come of this? God delivers.

Ruth 4:11 And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth–lehem:
12 And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.
13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son.
14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
16 And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
18 Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
19 And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
20 And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
21 And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
22 And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

It only takes one person. Today, let each of us commit to be that one person.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in this earth in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God and overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. We love You. Restore Your people, Father, unto You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Tishri 14, 6003 – September 24, 2018

There Is A Light

From my youth, the phrase “light at the end of the tunnel” has been a prevalent one to encourage people to hang in there. And there have been many things made light of the phrase in an attempt for comic relief. In truth, pursuing the light is in fact very important. The true light is God’s way.

Proverbs 6:20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

The Law, the Torah, is light.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

It is much easier to walk with a lighted path than in darkness.

Amen.

Yom Sheni, Tishri 7, 6003 – September 17, 2018

Keep Trying

It is a good thing to always keep trying to move forward, to do the right thing. We do know that we will have challenges. Scriptures make that plain enough.

James 5:17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

We see that Elijah was just a man. He knew his faults, just like we do. And yet he persisted. The results of his persistence speak for themselves.

Let’s be like Elijah and pray not because of who we are, but because of who God is.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in this earth in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us Your provision that we might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for all. Restore Your people, Father, unto You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,817,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Elul 29, 6003 – September 10, 2018

Closing Out

Today, depending on what calendar we follow, we are closing out a year. It is good if we can put the past behind us. It is the past that has taught us what we know and the past that can hold us back. Let’s say goodbye to the old and commit ourselves to doing good in the future.

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done perfectly here as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Deliver us from the evil that can beset us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore us Father, unto You perfectly. Restore unto your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,817,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Shishi, Elul 26, 6003 – September 7, 2018

Something Good

Sometimes it is just good to hear and meditate on a scripture.

Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Thank You, Father.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here in this earth as it is in heaven, so perfectly. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Deliver us from the evil here, Father. Restore Your people to You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold of all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,817,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Elul 22, 6003 – September 3, 2018

Keep Praying

Scriptures encourage us to keep praying.

Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Perhaps today it is good day for us to just focus on having good characteristics.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Deliver us from the evil that would keep us apart from You or each other. Restore unto Your people all that the worm has eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,867,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Elul 15, 6003 – August 27, 2018

Trusting God

No matter the situation, it is important that we trust our Father. The real challenge is looking past what our eyes see and envisioning what our Father has said. It really gets down to believing.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If we seek You Father, we know that we will bring about Your blessing in our lives. We know this because where You are there is life, and that abundantly.

John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

It was from the beginning that our enemy tried to kill us, tried to steal our joy and position in this earth, and tried to destroy what YAH had created.

1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

What shall we then say? Resist.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Resist the devil and cling to God. That is enough to win.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of mankind. Deliver us from the evil here. Let Your perfect will be done here, just as in heaven. Send us now Your provision, that we might use it to promote Your kingdom here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that trespass or transgress against us. Deliver us from the evil that tried to beset us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their pllace let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Restore Your people unto You, Father. Restore unto Your people all that the worm has eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way from your people, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,877,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom here in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak.

Yom Sheni, Elul 8, 6003 – August 20, 2018

We Can Beat It

Thinking again on that overwhelming feeling, it is interesting where it shows up. When we are attacked by wrongdoing, we can feel overwhelmed. When we are tempted, we can also feel that sense of being overwhelmed. But there is a slight difference.

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

There are stages named here. First, there is the attraction to something that appeals to a certain person. It can be different from one person to another. The word for lust here means craving. The word for enticed means deceitful trap. The word conceived means taken prisoner. We see then that the sense of overwhelming in the case of sin begins with craving. That craving will draw a person to a place of deception that holds them, and then they become a prisoner of the craving. All of this leads to the transgression of the Law (sin), which then leads to death. Since this all has the goal of death, we can assume that the enemy is behind it. There is one way to escape this for sure.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Therefore, in that moment of being drawn away, that craving, we must resist. If we do, it will not overtake us. We will rule over it.

Praise YAH!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts, minds and bodies of the people here. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Deliver us from the evil here. Send us Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. We need You and Your deliverance from the evil here yet today Father. Show Yourself strong today. Do the might things today. Restore what the worm has eaten of Your people’s prosperity and work. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Elul 1, 6003 – August 13, 2018

We Are Winners!

In the grand scheme of things, as I often heard phrased as a young person, there are overlying drivers in life. Specifically, God is in control. As difficult as it may be to understand how one being can oversee literally everything everywhere all the time, He does.

Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

We can and we will win, because that is what our Father has ordained. By winning I am not referring to the lottery, or to the next football game; I am referring to life. We can and will have a complete and peaceful life if we call out to Him and expect His deliverance. Let’s call upon Him, and show our love for Him in all things we do.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here in this earth as it is in heaven so perfectly. Deliver us from the evil here. Send us now Your provision that we might use it to help ourselves and those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Deliver us from the evil that would cause us to stray from You. Restore Your people unto Yourself, Father. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts, minds, and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak, asking them of You, Father. Amen.

Yom Sheni, Av 23, 6003 – August 6, 2018

Assumption’s Reign

One amazing attribute of humans is our uncanny ability to assume. It seems to be based on our opinion that we must be in the know. We think we know, therefore we draw conclusions from these thoughts, not from facts. These conclusions? You guessed it – they are assumptions. What often then happens is we generate more thoughts from these assumptions, and then we are off to the races! Assumptions, on assumptions, on assumptions…wow! At this point, for us personally, our assumptions are in charge of our actions and speech.

Now this becomes a particular challenge when we are in positions of “authority” in a group. That is a challenge because now that authority is in the hands of someone not driven by fact, but by assumption. That is when truly, assumptions reign. Please understand this is not a criticism of anyone in authority, for we all are in authority for at least ourselves. This is written to help us all find our way to truth. And, you can believe me when I say, I get it that this can be hard to hear. It is for me too.

Since this is an attribute known to be true to humans, how might we overcome this? There are really two parts, at least. The first is to know that we are in fact making assumptions. This is tricky. Assumptions are based on drawing conclusions not based on truth (fact), but we don not know that. We are in a place where we think we know the truth, the facts. How can we avoid that?

When we listen, resist the temptation to respond. Instead, listen to hear.

The second step is really straight forward. My response is not meant to be trite. My response – don’t assume, pray.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

It is very important to ask ourselves:

Are we listening to hear, or are we listening to respond?

If our first reaction to a situation is to give advice, likely we are listening to respond. Only God knows, we need to ask in order to know.

Today, let’s all try not to act like we know, as if we were God. Instead, let’s all listen to hear, and then pray.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds of mankind. Let Your will be done here perfectly, as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Deliver us from the evil here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love toward us. Restore Your people to a better place than they ever have had. Restore unto Your people all that the worm has eaten. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that has been taken or held back in any way of that which is good, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,923,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God here in the hearts and minds of mankind. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah, and we ask them of You, Father. WE ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.
