The Journey Begins

Again looking back about 3500 years, the children of Israel and the mixed multitude (yes, it was not just Hebrews that left Egypt) began their trek out of Egypt toward the promised land. There were about 600,000 men of the Hebrews, plus the women and children, and the mixed multitude.

Exodus 12:36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

Our Father heard His people cry, and He delivered them. They were beginning a very different journey that would test their trust in Yahuah (Lord). He was delivering them from bondage, oppression and poverty into freedom and prosperity forever.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We praise and thank the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us now Your overwhelming provision. We need Your healing. Please forgive our sins. Deliver us from the evil that would steal from us what You have provided. Deliver us today with a strong hand from the bondage and oppression of debt and poverty. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Waiting Upon Yahuah

Many of us have heard a certain scripture from the prophet Isaiah quoted as comfort and encouragement. Today I would like us to look at this scripture and think about what it means for us.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Let me begin by explaining the title today and how it fits in here. In scriptures in the Old Testament when we see the word “LORD” where all of the letters are capitalized (the “ORD” frequently is smaller, though still in caps), it literally is the name of God. Some say Yaweh and some say Yahuah. I choose the latter. It is not Jehovah because there is no “J” in Hebrew. If you want to try something interesting, put God’s name in every passage where you see the word “LORD” like this. It will change what you see. Back to the scripture here.

Where it says “wait” here in Hebrew also means to bind together. It also has a sense of eagerness in the watching, as if there is an expectation. When I take the fullness of this word into this passage, it says that if I will believe and trust in Yahuah (Lord), waiting and watching with eager expectation while I am bound to Him, my strength will be renewed like the eagle. What a great blessing!

Today, let us bind ourselves to our God, Yahuah (Lord), and watch Him work!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. We praise and thank the name Yahuah (Lord). May the whole earth praise the name Yahuah! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us for our sin, for we are frail and human. Heal us and guide us in Your ways. Deliver us from the evil that steals from us and grind them to powder. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Comfort In Knowing

We all know that there is a God, One True God. He wants us to experience life with Him in a very personal way. He wants us to know that He is our Father and our God. The challenge for us can be in understanding the reality of that very relationship. It is real. He wants to care for us, and does, even when we make mistakes as children do. He is our God.

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Let us say unto each other such things as cause us to believe and trust in Yahuah (Lord) to deliver us.

Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

We are a people; we are His people. He loves us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our God and King. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord). We give thanks to the name Yahuah (Lord) for You are good! Send us now Your overflowing provision. Let the barns and the bank accounts of Your people be filled to overflowing that we might bless the nations and advance Your kingdom throughout the earth. Send Your healing power through Your servants the we would be called ambassadors for healing. Let Your mighty hand begin a great deliverance in the earth and trample underfoot the evil that would steal from Your people that which You have given. Let every system and thing that would exalt itself against Your name Yahuah (Lord) be cast down and ground to powder. Let all men know that You alone have done this, and that Yahuah alone is God over the earth. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Beyond What We See

Each of us has our own perspective on life and the world around us. There is more going on in this universe than what we can see for we stand in only one place. Our Father is not so. He sees all and watches over us. He is watching to see our hearts and minds, and works in our lives to move us toward Him.

Jeremiah 17:10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

But God is merciful. If our God Yahuah (Lord) were to fully recompence us for what we do, none of us would make it. But instead, He is full of mercy. David knew this and called out to Yahuah (Lord) for His mercy very often.

Psalms 109:21 But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

David did not lead the perfect life by any means. But he was still able to take comfort in knowing that God was with him He knew that God was watching out for him. And perhaps one of the most important points, Yahuah (Lord) our Father does these things for us because of who He is and for His mercy and His namesake, NOT because of who we are. Even when we think we are doing good, we are human with human struggles. We have done wrong, and will do wrong again because we are human. But if we will humble ourselves like David and praise Yahuah and turn to Him in prayer, He will continue to heal and deliver us.

We are His children and He loves us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. Today we pray to You and praise Your name Yahuah (Lord). We lift up our hands to You and cry out for Your mercy. We lift up our hearts to You and cry out for deliverance. Give us Your overwhelming abundance. Cause men to give overwhelmingly to us that we do not have room to store it all. Make all these things happen. You have said in Your scriptures that You will cause us to lend and not borrow. We call upon You today to bring that to pass quickly Yahuah (Lord) for we are poor and needy by comparison. Heal our broken hearts, and cast down those that would harm us in this state. Deliver us from those that would take from us what You have given to us. Shake the earth, shake them off Your people that we might be free. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

What We Can Do With God

This morning I happened to be reading about the children of Israel in the wilderness as they were preparing all of the materials for the Tabernacle. The description of the materials of gold, silver bronze, and many fine woven materials was enormous. Then I began to think of their situation, their circumstances and surroundings. They were not in a city with electricity and trucks and running water. They did not have indoor plumbing. No tools for welding. They were in the desert. Not long before this they had been destitute slaves. Now each person had to bring some amount of gold and silver and other items to the central place to make or to provide the raw materials to those that would make the Tabernacle. It shows just how much they had taken from Egypt. It also shows how much they were carrying with them on their journey. But as magnificent as this structure was that our God Yahuah (Lord) had commanded them to make, it was not beyond what they could do. This is in line with Paul’s writings.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Not only did Yahuah (Lord) provide the materials, he put His spirit in one man to be gifted to design and build it, and lead others to help.

Exodus 35:30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.
34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

God gives us the things we need and the ability to use them to do His work. If we ask, He gives liberally.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Our Father God, Yahuah (Lord), never fails us. He gives us what we need that His name might be praised and proclaimed throughout the earth.

Jeremiah 16:21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord [Yahuah].

Our Father proclaims His name, Yahuah (Lord) to all mankind.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord) before all mankind. Your kingdom is our true home, and we long to live in it. Send us Your overwhelming provision today, Father. Forgive us for our sin. Heal up those among us whose hearts are downtrodden. Deliver us from the evil that would steal from us what You have given to us. Destroy their works and grind them to powder. Let them see that it is You who stand for us and that we are your people. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Hold My Hand

This morning when I woke up my mind was busy trying to develop a plan for the day. As I sat down to write here, all I could think of was the words that became the title here. It is what we say to our children when we want them to be close and feel safe. It is what our Father, Yahuah (Lord), says to us when He wants us to stay close and feel safe. It can be a challenge to remain true to our commitment to put Yahuah (Lord) first. But I know for myself this morning, I am desparate for Him in my life. I need Yahuah (Lord) to protect me, to provide for me and my family, to help me up when I fall, and to make me feel safe. In the end Yahuah (Lord) is all any of us really has. He is our all in all.

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Our Father is here for us at all times.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Today, I will work to remember that He just wants me and all of us to just hold His hand.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You as the Most High. We praise the name of Yahuah (Lord) who made the heaven and the earth. Let Your kingdom reign in the earth Father. Give us now Your abundant provision. Forgive us for when we have fallen. Lift us up. Heal us and deliver us. Take us by the hand and lead us in Your ways, Yahuah (Lord), that we might know You more. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Lift Us Up

Our God is on our side. That can seem like a simple thing to say. For many of us, however, we can feel overwhelmed when we face challenges. If we can learn to trust in God to be on our side, we can endure until deliverance comes our way. Our God Yahuah (Lord) never fails. It is Paul who explains this to us.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We can experience God’s plan for our lives if we will rest in His presence and trust that He is on our side.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Send us Your kingdom. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us for when we have gotten away from Your will and Your ways. Heal us and deliver us. Cast down our enemies and their works. Preserve those things that You have given to us. We love You. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Snow And More Snow

Today we have the beauty that follows immediately after a blizzard. Every branch is dripping with glistening white jewels. The slightest of breezes or the movement of a squirrel through the tree tops causes fairy dust like streaks of the whitest snow to fall, with sparkles that dance in the sunlight. It reminds me of Isaiah’s words.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Yesterday we went to a funeral and then to the gathering after. We drove the normal eighteen minute journey in about two hours each way. There were many white outs along the way, and we were praying constantly. In this I was in agreement with Paul.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

It worked! Each time we were stopped and prayed, there would be a sudden clearing and we could see the yellow lines in the center of the road. We could tell if we were on or off track. We were able to make the appropriate course correction. This is what God has done for us with His commandments. He gives us the path if we call out to Him. If we slow down and wait upon Him, He will show us the way. He will give us the course corrections we need. Praise the name Yahuah (Lord) forever!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. We love You. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us Your overwhelming abundant provision today Yahuah. Forgive us our sin. Heal us from our past hurts. Heal our bodies. deliver us from the evil that would take from us what You have given to us. Hear us out of Egypt. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

When We Fail

Growing up I can remember many times I disappointed my parents, not quite doing everything the way they wanted me to do it. It was not that I necessarily did anything wrong, although there were those times as well. It could be as simple as not performing as well on a test as they thought I should. But in all cases, my father in particular would express his disappointment with my performance. I was frequently in a state of wanting to do better but feeling that I could not do better. Over the years I have heard variations of this same story from many. But as believers we have good news. Our heavenly Father does not deal with us in this way. When we seek forgiveness, He grants it and then the sin is gone. Yes, there may be earthly consequences, but our Father does not hold these sins against us. Scriptures tell us that He is full of mercy and removes our sin from us.

Psalms 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Yahuah (Lord) removes our sin as far as the east from the west. He gives us great mercy. When we repent, turning our hearts to Him again, we can receive this forgiveness. If we will allow ourselves to receive this in our hearts, we can rejoice as David did here.

Psalms 103:20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

Today, if your heart is troubled because of past hurts, or maybe you have stumbled in Your walk, turn to our God and Father Yahuah (Lord). Ask for healing for the hurts, and forgiveness for the sin. Heal will lift you up.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You as the Most High. You alone are worthy of our praise. We praise Your holy name, Yahuah (Lord) above all names. Let Your kingdom reign. Send us Your overwhelming abundant provision today. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our broken hearts. Deliver us from the evil of this world. Defend Your people now. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Warm Blankets

A great white blanket has covered the ground overnight. The shades are completely drawn here in the kitchen, and the light reflecting off the snow is lighting up the entire room. The snow made me think of the warm blankets that were around me last night, and of how our God, Yahuah (lord) was watching over me while I slept. Those blankets and the watchful eye of Yahuah are truly a comfort to me. He has provided His direction to us to make our lives full, and as a comfort.

Psalms 119:49 ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself.
53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

For me there are times when I remember these things just before going to bed. Then there are other days when I forget. It is my desire and my hope that one day I will remember in all places and at all times that Yahuah (Lord) is with me, watching over my life. If we can do this, we can be comforted in knowing that our God is watching over us and protecting us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. We love You, and we long to have You and Your kingdom here on this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming blessing of overflowing provision. Let us reach out to all in need with the love of our Messiah Yeshua because You have given us the power to get wealth. Forgive us when we sin against You and Your ways. Heal us and deliver us. Show us a sign for good. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
