Our Father Hears Us

This morning as I was waking up, my mind filled with thoughts of the day. I resisted that to spend time praising Yahuah (Lord) and thanking Him for being my King. If I let it, my mind and my heart will drift into focusing on the things of this life very quickly, from the moment I wake. For me, I have to fight back and get my mind going in the right direction thinking about God and talking to Him. As I was praying to the Father about a specific question, a psalm cam to mind.

Psalms 3:1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

We have a Father that truly cares for us. He created the earth and everything in it. We can trust Him to meet our needs. If we will ask, He will provide.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. We call You King. We cry out for Your kingdom to be here on this earth. Send us Your overwhelming provision today. Let it overflow from us to those around it because we cannot contain it. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and deliver us from the fears and terrors that try to attach themselves to our hearts. Father, there is a great evil in the earth that is stealing from Your people. We are enslaved by it and made poor by it. We need Your deliverance. We need You to come with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and smite the evil. Crush its works. Deliver the wealth of the wicked to Your people Father. We need You. We need You. Come now and save us. We ask these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Always In The Arms Of God

Yesterday I spoke with one of the leaders of our fellowship about how we as believers can lose track of the reality of our God. The business of life can overwhelm us and take away our attention. But that only happens when we let it happen. And, we can also fight within ourselves to get back to that place where we pay attention to what is important – serving the living God. As I write this I think of some of the many challenges before us as a family. And then I think of Yahuah (Lord) and the prayer time I had with Him this morning. He was there in a very real way as I prayed for transformation to be more of the man He wants me to be. I read a scripture this morning that fits with this whole approach to Yahuah (Lord) as our Father and our living King.

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

We need to cry out to God in the morning, noon, and evening. We need to be always calling to Him.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Paul said it even more intensely, that we should pray without stopping.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

As I am writing this I am seeing an even greater need to be in communication with our Father. In the day to day, moment to moment battles of life, It can be a challenge to so do. For me, it is easy to get caught into the “reality” around me at the moment. But there seems to be a clear picture from scripture that our Father will respond every time we call. We need to be always communicating, praising, praying, and seeking His face.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We need You and Your kingdom in our lives at all times. We need to know that You are hearing us. We praise the name Yahuah! Send us today Your abundant provision that overwhelms our store houses, overflowing to those around us. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and our minds that have been damaged over time. Deliver us with an outstretched arm and a strong hand from those that would steal from us what You have provided. Only You can do these things Father. We need You in our lives. We need Your help. We need to know that You will always be with us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

In The Morning

Mornings are one of my favorite times of day. It is in the morning that I look to Yahuah to help me start my day. There can be many thoughts in my head in the morning, but I begin by talking out loud to Yahuah (Lord), praising His name, thanking Him, and asking for His direction. Most often I write in the morning. When I do write in the morning, the days seem to go better because I seem to know the right track to run on for the day. Even now as I am writing, I am getting that sense of Yahuah showing me the right road. I read a psalm this morning that reminded me of this.

Psalms 143:7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

Here we see David looking for that “loving-kindness” in the morning, that first start to the way to walk. He trusted Yahuah (Lord) to show him the way to walk. David continues by saying he runs to Yahuah to hide from the enemies. At the same time, he looks for Yahuah to teach he, David, the way to walk. David finishes by asking that Yahuah, in His mercy, would cut off his enemies and destroy those that afflict his soul, because he wants to be a servant to Yahuah.

Wouldn’t it be great to be like David, trusting in Yahuah and looking to Him every morning for that spark for the day? I believe we can do that today as believers. Our Father wants to give us good gifts and a life to lead unto Him. He is a true and loving Father, and wants His children to be with Him and talk to Him everyday. If you strugle some mornings, take time to cry out to Yahuah (Lord), and ask Him for that spark of direction and loving-kindness like He gave David. He will do it for you and for us all!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our only wise King. We need Your kingdom in our lives and Your love in our hearts. We bless the name Yahuah! Send us today Your abundant blessing. Heal our hearts and minds. Deliver us from the evil that would steal from us. Many are there that would crush Your people and blot out Your name. Rise up, O King, and in Your mercy cut off our enemies, for we want to be Your servants. We ask all these things in the name of Messiah Yeshua. Amen.

Our Comfort Is From Yahuah (Lord)

We have the greatest Father of all time, our heavenly Father. He truly cares and provides for us. We know that He has promised to care for us, and has provided a way for us to walk.

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

God has given us His commandments, and recorded them over time. We have them to guide us. If we will listen and cry out to Him for wisdom and understanding, He will provide it.

Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

We know that Yahuah has provided His truth, His mercy, and His way. We have access to all these things. The scriptures record time and again how He delivers His people. It is because the words that come forth from the mouth of God do what He sends them to do, and we live by those words.

Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We can rely on Yahuah (Lord) doing what He says. He is always with us, no matter what times come.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are the One True King. We praise and bless the name Yahuah. We love You. We need Your words in our hearts. We need Your kingdom. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts, cleansing them with Your words. Deliver us from the evil ones that try to overthrow Your people. They want to steal from us what You have provided and promised. Rise up and destroy their works Father. Deliver us with a strong hand and outstreched arm while it is called today. We ask these things in Messiah Yeshuah’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Be Prepared

There are times when Yahuah (Lord) tells His people something through a member of the body. Yesterday I had such an experience. Our Father gave me a word for those that are meant to hear it.

Be prepared.

When I asked Him what it meant, He said those that it was meant for would know what it meant. To me it was not a state of being statement as much as a call to action. We are to be ready to take action. This morning as I thought on this I became afraid. I was not afraid of the stories of all of the calamity that is being foretold. My fear was the thought that soon we could see Messiah Yeshuah on the earth. When that happens, no darkness will stand. Yet like Paul, I see in my members (flesh and blood) that I still do things I should not do, think thoughts I should not think, and struggle with my humanity.

Romans 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

Paul struggled. But the point is, he kept on. Today as I considered that the reports of this being the year that the Messiah returns, I tried to let myself imagine the reality of it. That is when my fear set in, but not the type of fear that the enemy tries to use against us. This fear was different. It was somehow both intense and pure at the same time. It was like a righteous fear, if there can be such a thing. It caused me to cry out to Yahuah (Lord) with the knowing that I cannot get this life together on my own. In that moment of prayer I saw myself as a man wanting to be able to be near Yahuah and wanting to run to wherever Yeshuah (Jesus) shows up, but at the same time I knew I was not like Yeshuah (Jesus). I am not pure like He is pure and like we need to be. It was a good experience as it caused me to renew my commitment to strive for improvement in my walk with Messiah. And I was finally comforted by a scripture.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

We can be comforted in knowing that somehow, some way, our Father will make certain that we will be able to be like Him, pure and holy, set apart to be able to one day be reunited with Him face to face, as in the garden. Praise Yahuah!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy to be our King. We praise the name Yahuah! Let Your kingdom be upon this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming blessing of provision. We need You. We need Your love. Please forgive our sins and help us to change to follow Your ways. Please deliver us and heal us. We need You now. We need You today. We ask all these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Walking With Our Father

For many of us there was someone growing up that made us feel comfortable to be around, safe from harm. For me that was my parents. It seemed that we would be okay, if we all just stayed around each other. For some that may not be the case. But with our heavenly Father, it is most assuredly true. He has provided for us a way to walk in and if we walk in that way, trusting in Him, then life works out. Our Father wants good things for us, which is why He has given us His commandments, and it is why He sent His Son, Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) to die for us. We can know that He has chosen good for us and asks us to walk in that goodness that He has provided.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

If we choose to walk with our Father, we choose life. And we can walk in His ways for He has given us the strength to do it.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Our life with our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) is one of peace and fulfillment if we will hear his voice.

John 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

We need to spend time with Yeshuah (Jesus) to learn to hear His voice. Our Father has made Yeshuah our Mediator. When we spend time with the Father and with our Messiah, we can learn to trust in His goodness and mercy toward us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are King. We bless Your name Yahuah! Today, I cry out to You for myself, my family and friends, and all the people of the earth, that we might see Your kingdom. We need You here now. Send us today Your abundant provision. We thank You for forgiving our sins. We thank You for providing for our families. We need an abundant blessing Father. We need it soon. You are our only hope. You are our only King. Heal us and deliver us. We aask these things in the name of Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Help Is On The Way

When we walk through our lives with our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) as our true leader, we experience many different situations in life. When times are good it is easy to get caught up in all the events themselves. All those good things can become our focus. The same can be said for when things are not going so well for us. We can feel like things are “bad” and focus on those things. But regardless of how these things all move forward in time, there is still one truth. In good times and bad, we still need Yeshua. We still need His love in our lives. We still need the knowing that He is our Provider. We still need to remember that He provided for us the way of escape.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Here Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, makes many interesting comments. He makes many references to the children of Israel passing through the desert. He tells how they got caught up in many things, including idolatry. They did this even though they had all experienced so many miracles in the pillar of fire and of smoke, passing through the Sea, and countless other wonders. Yet, when faced with the tough choices of thirst and hunger, they quickly turned to not trusting that Yahuah (Lord) was on their side. Granted, these are tough and seemingly life threatening. But they are only life threatening if Yahuah (Lord) does not come through. Again, I am not trying to make light of these here. I know I face challenges to waiver just like everyone. And I do not believe that we ever really know how we will respond in those tough moments. But in every waking moment we can choose to reach out to God, calling to Him for help in our human frailty, trusting that somehow He can and will deliver us from these trials and from our own weakness and temptation to give place to fear. He is Yahuah shavuot (Lord of hosts, Lord of everything). He will not fail us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You truly are King over all, and You created it all. We bless Your name Yahuah! You alone are our only hope. Help us. We need life from You. We need deliverance from the enemy that only You can provide. Send us today Your provision. Show us where the manna in the desert is. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. You are our only hope. Heal the saddened and down trodden. Lift up our heads. We ask these things in the name of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Amen.

We Can Change

Often in life, we find ourselves struggling to be better. We have challenges because we often hold onto certain beliefs that really hold us back. We have amazing mental capacity, for better or for worse. We can be more than we have been, if we are willing to change our thinking. For example, in parts of my life I have been very organized and in other parts of my life I have been very disorganized. But we can change our minds because we we have been given good minds.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

This means we can have a mind for change. We just need to feed the right stuff into our head. And that starts with us.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

This is definitely about the new birth. But it is also about the power to put into our head the right things to think about.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are worthy to be our King. We bless the name Yahuah. You are our everlasting King. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. We need You and we need Your love so that we can give it to others. Be with us. heal us and deliver us. Protect us from those that would steal from us what You have provided. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

Hope In Loving One Another

Today I am continuing to think of a thought that has been on my mind frequently lately. Another brother discussed it with me yesterday. It seems clear that we need one another. There have been many times when the righteousness of God broke out, and the next thing that would happen is each person’s love for the others. It happened in the deliverance from Egypt.

Exodus 16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.
15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.
16 This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

This happened again in the days of Yeshua (Jesus).

Luke 9:13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.
14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.
15 And they did so, and made them all sit down.
16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

And it happened after Yeshua (Jesus) died and rose again.

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

As I think of these things, I wonder what has happened to us in these times? If we love God and make that breakthrough to the truth, then the pattern says that next the love for one another follows naturally. Hmmm.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King. Please send the kingdom here. We praise the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us now Your abundant provision that all our lack would disappear. Forgive us our sins. You alone can cleanse us. Heal up our hearts that we might truly love one another. Deliver us from the evil that is upon us. We cry out to You Yahuah (Lord), come and deliver us from the evil that would steal from us. Deliver our land from the evil that moves amongst us. Help us to see Your sadness for the land. We ask these things in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.

A Day For The Father

Today in America is a day that is dedicated to Fathers. There will be many cookouts, family gatherings, and bad neck tie gifts today. And the families will be able to have another memory of time together. For some, there are no earthly fathers around. Or perhaps the memories of an earthly father is not good. This is sad, of course. But we all have access to a perfect Father, our heavenly Father, who always loves and cares for us.

John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

The Father sent His Son, our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) to die on the cross and be raised from the dead, that we might have eternal life with Him. Our Father, Yahuah (Lord) is always with us. He always hears us. He will always provide for us.

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Today, with all that may come with it, let us take time to spend with our heavenly Father. He will take care of all of our needs.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. We are looking for Your kingdom. Is it not here Father? Can it not be with us? We praise Your name Yahuah. Send us today Your overwhelming blessing of provision. Forgive us for our sins. There are those among us that need financial deliverance. Deliver them Father. There are those that need physical healing. Heal them up Father and make them whole, better than before. Deliver us from the evil that is around us trying to steal what You have provided. We ask that You deliver us and all these things, in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
