Day 1 – Yom Ri-shon

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 18, 6001 – December 18, 2016

What We Do

We are an interesting people, those of us that believe. We have a heavenly Father that loves us so much that He sacrificed His only Son that we might be set free. Yet at times, we become afraid. But the fears, no matter what we fear, are unwarranted. This is because He cares for us. I am reminded of the words of our Messiah.

Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Our Father knows everything we need, even before we do. He will always provide for us, no matter what. We can count on Him, and be comforted in knowing that these things are true, and always have been true.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Bless the name Yahuah! Let us shine Your light, Your Law, Your patterns, before all Men. Send us today Your overwhelming provision such that we cannot contain it and it overflows to those around us. Forgive us our sins. Heal our bodies, our mind, our souls, and our spirits. Have mercy on Your servants, O King! Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 11, 6001 – Sunday, December 11, 2016

Comfort Comes

We are having a snow storm today. I just finished working out, and I can tell how old I am. After working out, my body feels the transition from working out to not working out. There is a certain exhilaration in that transition. I refer to it as a type of comfort. Work out, then comfort. Perhaps this is built into us. It also happens when we study the scriptures.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

So we are comforted when we have a true balance through working hard to know our Father and His scriptures.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! We praise the name Yahuah! Let us be Your lights in this world. Send us now Your overwhelmingly abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal and cleanse our hearts. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Tevet 4, 6001 – Sunday, December 4, 2016

Warm Blankets

When snow falls it is often referred to as a blanket. Often I have thought about how this seems at least a little odd. Fluffy whiteness everywhere can be viewed as a soft and fuzzy blanket. Most often have thought of a blanket as a source of warmth and comfort for sure. Growing older I have come to learn to see the snow as a source of comfort at times, and other times not so much.

But the truth is, it can be a comfort for us if we let it. It can be a comfort because God made it for us. Comfort because scriptures us it to describe the washing away of our sins.

Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

If we can learn to take what we see, and reach out to our Father with it, it can comfort us. Even in the winter, there is the snow that reminds us of scripture and His great love.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be Your lights on the earth. Send us now Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Restore our health and safety. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all prosperity that has been taken or held back from Your people in any way. Rise up, O King, and strike down the evil that tries to oppress Your people. WE ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Kislev 26, 6001 – Sunday, November 27, 2016

A Day Of Light

We have a set of patterns set by our Father, from the beginning. We can receive comfort in these patterns, if we allow ourselves to receive this comfort. The very first, first day, was one of our Father separating light from darkness.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

On this first day, let us try to find our way into our Father’s light.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name Yahuah! Shine Your light through us Father. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold, and more besides. Helps us now, O King! We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Kislev 19, 6001 – Sunday, November 20, 2016

Knowing The Creator

If we can find the time, we have opportunity to personally meet with the One that created the entire universe. Just meditate on that for a minute and let it sink in. As students we spend thousands of dollars for a college education, often delivered by someone still getting their own advanced degree. They are not that far ahead of us on the journey to understand the very subject they are trying to teach us. We can learn from the ultimate Master about any subject. The cost is just a little higher though. It costs us everything… it costs us, us.

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Today, let’s spend that time with the Master and Creator.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let there be light from You in us that we can shine in this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back in any way, and more besides. Give us the power to get wealth to promote Your covenant. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Kislev 12, 6001 – Sunday, November 13, 2016

Very Present Help

We have such an magnificent Father that created everything, it is only quite logical that He would be there for us in times of need. It is ever so comforting to have that knowledge, and to experience Him watching over us at all times. This becomes especially true when there is a perceived problem in our lives. We know we can count on Him.

Psalms 42:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

If we will give ourselves to our Father, and turn to Him and His ways, we will find the comfort we all long for each day.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us shine the light of Your Torah, Your will, in this earth. Send us today Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Cleanse our hearts and minds, and heal them. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and more besides. Rise up now, O King, and help us to develop strong wisdom and understanding, and inherit substance today, and fill our treasuries today. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Yom Ri-shon, Kislev 5, 6001 – Sunday, November 6, 2016

The Great Comfort

This morning sitting on the patio my wife and I were discussing the life of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus) and what it was that He was doing here in the Earth. It appears that a pure and set apart man showed up as different. This would make sense. He said He (Yeshuah – Jesus) kept the commandments of the Father – The Torah – and the that we should keep His (Yeshuah’s – Jesus’) commandments.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Just before this He said that the thoughts and concepts He said to them made them “clean” meaning Levitically clean.

John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

And His commandment was further explained in a simple fashion.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Later He explains that He was teaching the Law to them.

John 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

So we bring forth fruit by saying what our Messiah said, which is the Law, which teaches practical ways to love our fellow man. And when we do, we will do the works that Yeshuah (Jesus) did, and greater works.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Today, let us take comfort in the fact that Yahuah, our Father, is on our side. He will care for us. He has provided great blessing and provision in and through His word recorded in the Law and the Prophets.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be Your light on this Earth. Send us Your overwhelming abundant provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and more besides. Rise up, O King, and show us a sign for good that all men might know that You alone have done this. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

We Can Help Us

Our Father loves us. We need help, and we can help ourselves. We help ourselves when we realize that by reaching out to our Father, we are actively participating in our own getting better, our own improvement. Yahuah is always there for us, and He wants the best for us. He already knows that we won.

Isaiah 40:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

He is with us always. We need only call out for His help.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name Yahuah! We want to be Your light here, Father. We exalt You and You alone! Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us, inside and out. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold all that has been taken or held back from Your people in any way, and more besides. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

Going The Extra Mile

We need to not just do the minimum. WE need to find it within us to do that which delights. Just as in customer service, we need to apply the this delight principle to how we go through life and interact with those around us. Do we smile and greet people as we enter the room? Are people generally happy to see us come into a room or leave the room? How can we make a better impression and impact for the Father? It begins, I would suggest, with ourselves. We need to comfort ourselves.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

We need to begin with us, going the extra mile for ourselves.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Bless the name Yahuah! Let us be Your lights. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and more than that. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.

A Great Father

One thing that all believers can be comforted in is that we have a really great Father! He is always there, always working, even when we forget that He is. He never forgets us. Even when we struggle, He is there to try to help us through the struggle. As I write this I think of the many struggles in my own life and I am comforted to know that no matter how “bad” things might get in life. I will never be alone.

Psalms 121
A Song of degrees.
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

It is good to remind ourselves of this blessing regularly. God is good, and good to us!

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! We praise the name Yahuah! Reign Your will upon this earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us Father, from the inside out. Restore unto Your people one hundred times one hundred times one hundredfold that which has been taken or held back in any way. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
