Yom Sheni, Av 11, 6004 – July 15, 2019
First Things First
It is difficult to understand people at times, or can be. When people say things, there is a tendency these days for that statement that they have made to have no meaning. For example, if someone says they will call you, but they do not, then what does their word mean? Not trying to say here that is was a malicious thing, or even that I do not do the same thing. We too easily make exact commitments, without the consideration (or enough consideration) as to whether or not we can perform them.
Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Yeshuah here was teaching us that our communication with each other needs to be simple. If we get beyond that, then we are likely to say things we cannot perform.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here, and let Your kingdom come here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to for givet hose that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that hs been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides. We ask all these things of You Father King, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.
