Seeking Something
This morning as I was thinking about all that we do in life in my prayer time, I asked YAH to give me a scripture. When He did, I had an experience that many are familiar with and that is, I saw something new in it.
James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
For the first time I saw that the killing here can be hatred, according to our Messiah. The adulterers and adulteresses here are people that love anything more than God – that certain new car, house, boat, clothes, food… Of course it could mean sexual, but the deeper meaning here that I saw is YAH is talking more about is our relationship with Him. If we earnestly desire some thing and have not first surrendered it to Him, then the thing is taking first place over that same thirst for being with Him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven. Send us Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You. Deliver us from the evil here. It is Your kingdom and Your power. Help us to walk after You. Restore Your people, Father. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $423,483,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of YAH here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMoshiach. Amen and Amen.
