Reflecting

Today is the day before Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 6:29. For me, I like to reflect on what it means. God is a great and awesome God. He is a Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows and orphans, our Deliverer and our Provider. For those that are parents, you can understand how it might be that He wants to care for us, because we also want to care for our children. We are all God’s children, and He wants to care for us. That is why He gave us the earth. That is why He wants us to prosper and be in good health. All the very best is what our heavenly Father wants for us. That is why He set up the Feasts, the Feasts of the Lord. These Feasts are for us to help us stay on or get back on track.

Reflecting on such things is good.

Prayer
Father, we praise and thank You for all You do. Please help us to be prepared for our lives ahead. In Jesus name. Amen.
