Searching For Peace

There are days that are meant for us to have moments of peace. Such a day is the Sabbath, today. We also choose to celebrate other times and seasons, and even events. Those may not be as peaceful, although likely we want them to be. The most impoortant thing, it would seem, is to do good whenever we can.

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

So we see here that love is the important thing. In fact, the description of that phrase and how to do it is shown in this same passage.

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

If we can honor one another, it goes a long way toward loving one another. Society certainly teaches us that to treat others badly or to speak evil of someone is the way to be, or even humorous. Scriptures tell us otherwise. Whom shall we believe? Our words and our actions will shout from the rooftops what we really believe.

Today, let’s try to be at peace. Let us love one another as the scriptures say.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in Heaven. Send us now Your provision that we might be filled, and that we might overflow to those around us. Deliver us from the evil here. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all of the thoughts and memories of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Restore us, Father, unto You as You had meant it to be in the garden. Help us to find peace here, with joy in You. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all the good that the worm has eaten, or that has been taken or held back in any way. Send in quickly the $423,523,962.53 that we might use it to promote the kingdom of God in the hearts and minds and bodies of the people here. We ask all these things of You, Father, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiak. Amen.
