For Someone Else
In high school (now that was a while ago) I had a friend that was a swimmer and very athletic. Unlike many of the athletes, he was not arrogant or outspoken. He was kind hearted, and gentle spirited. We reconnected earlier this year after over 40 years. I learned many things about him. He had done the Ironman, raised a family, and been successful. He was also in another unique group. He was a cancer survivor. In all our conversation, he was very encouraging. We had some chance to talk about God and what He has done in our lives. That is always a good conversation.
1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Today, I am making a trip to see him. He had a relapse. It is my turn to encourage him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King. Praise the name YAH! Send Your kingdom here into the hearts of mankind. Let Your will be done here perfectly as it is in heaven where the sun, moon, and stars testify of You. Send us today Your overwhelming provision that it might overflow to those around us. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that trespass or transgress against us. Wipe away the thoughts of the evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You and Your love for us. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people sevenfold all that has been eaten, taken, or held back in any way of that which is good and the blessing that You intended, and the more besides. Send in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might feed and clothe those in need. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your mighty name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.
