Examining The Stones
This morning as I read the story of Elijah in scripture, I thought about what it would have been like to be him. He saw our Father do some amazing things. Yet in the face of these things, he also realized that he was just a man.
1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
Elijah was well aware of his own shortcomings. There is a message in this understanding. James pointed this out.
James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
At least a part of this message is that our Father is King. He will do what He will do. It is our job to serve at the behest of the King. And it is at the sole discretion of the King what a person’s calling is to be. We are to examine ourselves and to cry out to our Father. If we can humble ourselves, we will be established in His work according to His will. Then when we build, we will build for Him.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here, let Your kingdom come here. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away the thoughts of evil done to us or by us. In their place, wash us clean and give us thoughts and memories of only You. Deliver us from the evil here. Restore unto Your people one thousandfold, and thousands of thousands, all that has been taken or held back in any way, and the more besides. Bring in quickly the $424,523,962.53 that we might use it as You direct to promote Your kingdom. Let that time be now, Father. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things of You, Father, in Your name YAH. We ask all these things in the name YAH Yeshuah. Amen.
