Be Not Afraid

Many times in scripture we are encouraged to not be afraid, or to fear not. There are some that say it matches the number of days in the Gregorian calendar. Although the actual number appears to be smaller, the point is, it is there and in important places. Sometimes it takes the positive form of encouraging us to have courage, the opposite of fear. When Joshua was left alone to lead his nation, after the death of Moses, YAH said it to him.

Joshua 1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

In this verse YAH did both. He told Joshua to have courage, and He told Joshua to not be afraid. Each of us has our own personal walk with our Father. In mine, I sense Him encouraging me to do great works, to have courage, and to not be afraid. Likely it is true for each of us.

Fear not. YAH is with us to uphold and bless us in all we do. We need only meditate on His Law and His commandments day and night.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name YAH! Let Your will be done here, and let Your kingdom come here. Send us today Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and our transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Wipe away all thoughts or memories of evil done to us or by us. In their place let there be only thoughts and memories of You. Heal up our hearts and minds that Your words might always be on our lips. Deliver us from the evil here. We need You, King! Restore unto Your people one thousandfold all that is good that has been taken or held back in any way from Your people, and the more besides, of relationships, lands, buildings, possessions, monies, gold, silver, and precious jewels and metals. Bring in the $424,523,962.53 that Your kingdom might be mightily promoted. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). We ask all these things in Your name, Father. We ask all these things in the name YAH! Amen.
