True Independence

This day in the United States is a celebration of the Declaration of Independence. It is a statement that man is endowed with certain rights. Rights is an interesting word. One of these things that is true is we are free to choose God, or not. This was stated many years ago by a man of conviction.

Joshua 24:13 And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

This day, let us choose to serve Yahuah (Lord).

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let Your will be done here as it is in heaven. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed and transgressed against us. Wipe away the evil and the pain and the hurts we have done to each other and to ourselves such that no thought or memory of them remains forever. Heal us with Your oil of gladness in those vacant places, replacing in them firmly grafted joy and thoughts and memories of only You. Let Your renewal begin with us. Restore right relationships and substance to Your people that has been taken or held back in any way, and that one hundredfold with the more besides. We declare this to be Your kingdom, by Your power and for Your glory. We ask all these petitions in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
