Good News Is Here
Often we as believers think that the good news of salvation began when Yeshuah (Jesus) showed up. If we again look at Psalms 96, only a different version, we see something different.
Psalms 96:1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Here we see declaring His glory translated as proclaiming the good news. This proclaiming the good news is more literal in another location in scripture.
Nahum 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
Here the bringing of good tidings is the good news of salvation in the Hebrew. The way we get that is by keeping the solemn feasts, and doing what we say we will do. That keeps the wicked from being able to pass through us, and the wicked is destroyed.
Looks like to proclaim the good news of our Messiah Yeshuah, we have to keep the feasts.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are our King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let us be lights in the earth. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal up our hearts and minds. Restore unto Your people beyond what could be imagined or held, such that it overflows in waves to those around us. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
