Rest With The Best
The title here was fun to create. When reading it, one could easily think we are referring to a person or persons as “The Best”. However, that was just a clever use of words. What is really the best? Once I get past the clever words, two things quickly come to mind. These are the scriptures and God. One good thing to do on the Sabbath is to read the scriptures and consider their meaning and importance in our lives. And of course the scriptures are meant to point us to the Father.
Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And there are very practical reasons for meditating on the scriptures day and night.
Joshua 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
We were meant to prosper wherever we go. How is it possible? It seems to be tied to the medic=tation on the Law day and night.
Today, let’s rest with the best.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King! Praise the name Yahuah! Let the earth align with the will that is in the heavens. Send us now Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us our sins. Heal us and deliver us. Help us to remember to meditate day and night on Your Law. We want to serve You. Help us to serve You more. We ask all these things in the name of our Messiah Yeshuah (Jesus). Amen.
